Job Summary:

Sabuj Sangha is looking for a dedicated Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial record maintenance. The candidate should have sound accounting knowledge and experience in NGO accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain books of accounts and financial records accurately
• Voucher entry and ledger maintenance in Tally
• Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) preparation and reconciliation
• Process payments, reimbursements, and petty cash management
• Assist in monthly and annual account closing activities
• Support statutory deductions and documentation
• Maintain supporting documents and filing systems for accounts
• Assist in preparation of utilisation certificates and basic financial reports
• Coordinate with programme teams for bill verification/document collection
• Support audit preparation and compliance documentation
• Any other junior accounts and finance related responsibilities as assigned

Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in NGO/Development Sector
• Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
• Good understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
