Job Summary:
Sabuj Sangha is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts Officer to support the organisation’s finance and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in NGO finance management, donor compliance, budgeting, and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Budget control and budget monitoring across projects and departments
• Preparation and review of donor financial reports as per donor guidelines
• Ensure donor compliance and adherence to financial policies/procedures
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness
• Ensure statutory compliance including Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, GST and other applicable regulations
• Support preparation of annual organizational budgets and project budgets
• Monitor fund utilization and variance analysis against approved budgets
• Maintain financial documentation and support financial MIS/reporting
• Liaise with programme teams for financial planning and budget tracking
• Assist in development and strengthening of financial systems and controls
• Any other finance/compliance responsibilities assigned by management
Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounts, preferably in NGO/Development Sector
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance and statutory regulations
• Proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
