Introduction of STAPI :

The SOSVA Training and Promotion Institute (STAPI) is a support service organization focusing on building the capacities of the voluntary organizations working in the diverse fields of social sectors to enable them to play a more sustainable and effective role in the service of the under-privileged section of the community. This includes capacity building, NGO promotion and their strengthening for qualitative sustainable contribution for the betterment of society. STAPI is an accredited NGO.

JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

STAPI solicits candidates for the position of Project Officer based at Pune “School Chale Hum” for 250 Students who have lost one or both parents, Parents with disabilities and chronic illness, parents from marginalized communities.

Expected Roles and Responsibilities :-
i) Conduct of Baseline Survey of eligible students from Pune Municipal Corporation areas.
ii) Conduct of Follow up Meetings about educational progress
iii) Conduct of Parents and Children Meetings
iv) Conduct of Study Cum exposure visit for the children
v) Strengthening of Parents support groups
vi) Timely submission of project progress report to relevant stakeholders.
vii) Assistance and Support to Project Co-Ordinator for smooth conduct of project activities

Other Aspects :-
• The Project Officer will be based in Pune.
• He /She will be overall responsible for project implementation
• He/ She will lead and co- ordinate with the project team
• He /She will report to the Project Co-Ordinator

Qualification:

• Candidates Should have completed graduation in Social Work or Social Sciences

Required Skill Set :

• Should have at least 5-7 years of experience of working with NGOs, CSOs, CBOs
• Experience in working with various issues women empowerment and child development
• Should have good written and communication skills in Marathi and English
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications- EXCEL, Word and Power Point is MUST.
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Documentation and Reporting Skills necessary
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
• Readiness for Travel within Maharashtra

Duration:

April 2026-March 2027

Salary:

Commensurate with qualification and experience
