We are looking for a dynamic, result oriented and lateral thinking candidate for the role of Grant and Fundraising Specialist/ Officer (depending on the level of seniority) who can independently lead on our fundraising efforts. The position can be hybrid (home based) with occasional visits to the KKF campus, located in the natural environs of the Anaikatti/ Nilgiris hills in Coimbatore. Qualification: Post Graduate in relevant discipline- MSW, MBA, Economics, Public Policy, or Innovation
Key Skills
- Advanced technical and commercial writing skills with innovative thinking
- Proven experience in grant funding applications and/or structured fund-raising
- Strong understanding of CSR, U.N, government, institutional, and international funding mechanisms
- Understanding of training/ capacity building industry in India and globally
- Ability to translate ideas into clear funding narratives
- Experience with budgets, costing and cost justifications
- Strong stakeholder coordination and requirement-gathering capability
- Excellent document structuring, compliance tracking, and version control skills
- Ability to manage multiple funding applications simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative documentation tools
- Knowledge of Tamil is desirable, but not compulsory
- Positive and ‘Go-Getter’ attitude combined with a sense of humour
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end preparation of grant funding applications/ RFPs and fund-raising documents
- Develop technical, commercial, and impact narratives for funding submissions
- Interpret funding call documentation and map requirements to project capabilities
- Coordinate with internal Research, Training, Administration and finance teams for inputs
- Develop project descriptions, work plans, budgets, risk sections, and impact statements
- Review and refine team members’ drafts to ensure quality and compliance
- Prepare donor-facing materials including pitch decks, funding notes, and summaries
- Manage submission timelines, reviewer queries, and resubmission strategies
- Support post-award reporting, compliance documentation, and audits
- Contribute to institutional knowledge on funding and financing mechanisms, improving internal templates, processes, and funding strategies
