ALOHOMORA EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Communications Associate

Unlocking minds. One student at a time.

Location - Delhi

CTC Rs 3.0 – 3.6 LPA

About Us
Alohomora Education Foundation is building an ecosystem for informed career decision-making and effective post-12th transitions at scale. We partner with government systems to provide career support in public schools across Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and — through a UNICEF-backed project — UP, Assam, and Gujarat.

With the Ministry of Education driving investment in dedicated career guidance resources across states, our mission is poised to grow fast. This year, we have interventions across 7 states, and are on track to meaningfully impact 1 million young people.

The Role
This role is the key driver for taking Alohomora's mission and stories to the world. You will own and grow our digital presence — primarily on LinkedIn and Instagram — and manage the full creative pipeline for all external communication: from everyday social content to campaign collaterals, newsletters, and event materials.

If you believe in the power of good storytelling to build movements, and you're excited about the intersection of education, public systems, and youth — this is for you.

What You'll Do
1. Social Media & Content
• Own and manage Alohomora's LinkedIn and Instagram handles — content calendar, posting, and engagement
• Create platform-native content: carousels, reels, stories, static posts — that resonates with students, educators, donors, and sector professionals
• Build and execute a social media strategy aligned with Alohomora's programmatic milestones and campaigns
• Track performance metrics and iterate based on what's working
2. Creative & Design
• Design and produce the full range of communication collaterals — social media posts, posters, flyers, infographics, brochures, and print-ready materials for distribution across WhatsApp and other channels
• Lead the design and production of Alohomora's annual report and quarterly newsletters
• Create audience-specific materials — for students, teachers, donors, government partners, and the broader sector — adapting tone, format, and medium accordingly
• Maintain visual consistency across all touchpoints with Alohomora's brand identity
3. Content Collaboration & Story Collection
• Work closely with program, field, and operations teams to gather content — stories, updates, data, and insights — and turn them into compelling communications
• Build simple, reliable processes for teams across states to share content with you regularly, so the pipeline stays full
• Travel to field locations to capture stories, document events, photograph program activities, and do live posting from the ground when needed
• Develop an eye for the moments and narratives that make Alohomora's work real to external audiences
4. Campaigns & Newsletters
• Conceptualise and execute campaigns — recruitment drives, fundraising pushes, visibility campaigns
• Put together quarterly newsletters and the annual report for our mailing list
• Support org-wide events and stakeholder communications as needed
5. Documentation & Process
• Maintain an organised content library and asset repository
• Document learnings and iterate on communications processes over time

Who You Are
• 1–3 years of experience in communications, content, design, or social media — in the social sector, a startup, or a creative agency
• Comfortable with design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent) and can produce clean, impactful visuals independently
• A natural storyteller — you understand what makes content stop a scroll and what builds a community
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to manage multiple deadlines without dropping the ball
• Bonus: prior experience working with or communicating about education, public systems, or youth-focused work
