About the Project
The Centre for Behavioural Sciences, set up under partnership of IIHMR University, HCL and UNICEF Rajasthan, is a pioneer hub for behavioural science research and practical applications. This centre is working hand-in-hand with government and diverse stakeholders to shape evidence-based policies and implementation strategies for promoting sustainable and inclusive development in Rajasthan. By collaborating with CSOs, CSR initiatives, corporations, academic institutions, and research organizations, the Centre for Behaviour Sciences activates holistic strategies to address intricate societal challenges, nurturing lasting advancements throughout the region.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with pioneer Centre for Behavioural Sciences. The State BI Manager will lead high-quality evidence generation processes to provide crucial contextual insights and designing effective interventions to address policy /program challenges.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and execution:
- Develop and implement research design, integrating qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to identify critical behavioural patterns and decision-making processes aimed at generating insights for addressing a behavioural issue.
- Develop research protocols/tools. Ensuring adherence to research and ethical standards.
- Strategize, execute field data collection and oversee the implementation of interventions at ground level.
- Collate insights and contribute to intervention development.
- Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of pilot projects, identifying lessons learned and opportunities for scaling up successful interventions.
Stakeholder Engagement and capacity enhancement:
- Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders on behavioural science initiatives, fostering collaboration and buy-in of various stakeholders as required.
- Assist in design and delivery of training programs to enhance understanding and application of behavioural insights among various stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to project staff and partners on behavioural science methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Communication and Documentation:
- Support the preparation of internal and external reports, presentations, and other communication materials related to behavioural science projects and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned, contributing to the documentation and dissemination of best practices and success stories.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Head-CBS
Qualifications and Requirements
You should have approximately this level of expertise, regardless of where it comes from:
- Master’s degree in related fields.
- 3+ years of field management experience in research, experience in behavioural science informed research methodology is preferred.
- Experience of conducting primary research. Familiarity with the design and implementation of qualitative, quantitative, research, and data analytic skills.
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, especially government stakeholders. Know how to build and manage relationships with them, collaborate and work with them.
- Strong understanding of government systems, at the State and district level.
- Understand the state context through lived experience.
- Currently based, or willing to relocate to Jaipur
- Fluency in the local language/ dialects of Rajasthan will be an advantage
