BACKGROUND
East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation (EWS-KT) is a non-profit corporate foundation with unique ties to East-West Seed, one of the 10 largest vegetable seed companies in the world. EWS-KT is a global leader in farmer education and training, with active programs across 11 countries. In India, our mission focuses on enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, particularly women and youth by promoting sustainable and climate-resilient vegetable farming practices. Through our on-field and digital learning programs, farmers acquire practical skills to increase yields, improve incomes, and provide safe, nutritious vegetables to local communities. Our broader goal is to foster inclusive market development and build long-term, resilient agri-ecosystems.
 
In India, We currently operate across 10 states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Odisha, and Telangana.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated intern to support our team in researching potential CSR and donor partners. The intern will help identify organizations whose priorities align with our programs and assist in building a structured donor database. This role is ideal for someone interested in development, CSR, fundraising, and partnerships.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Research companies, CSR foundations, and international donors to understand their funding priorities and focus areas.
  • Identify organizations whose interests align with our programs and note possible partnership opportunities.
  • Create and maintain a donor database in Excel or CRM with accurate and well-organized information.
  • Categorize donors based on geography, focus areas, funding size, and donor type (corporate CSR, foundation, international donor, etc.).
  • Find and verify contact details of relevant people in these organizations through online research tools and reliable sources.
  • Prepare short summaries highlighting donor priorities and potential alignment with our programs.
  • Support the team by preparing donor contact lists and tracking outreach progress.
  • Provide weekly updates on research progress and maintain organized records.
WORK RELATIONSHIPS: 
The Institutional Research Intern will report to the head of KT.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Final-year undergraduate or postgraduate student, or recent graduate in Business,
  • Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Strong internet research and analytical skills.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with Excel / Google Sheets and organizing data.
  • Interest in CSR, development sector partnerships, and fundraising.
