About Smile Foundation
Sustainability, social equality and the environment are now business problems. And corporate leaders can't depend on governments to solve them. Inspired by this philosophy of Peter Senge, a group of young corporate professionals came together in 2002 to set up Smile Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and communities.
Today, Smile Foundation is directly benefiting over 2 million children and families through more than 400 welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment spread across 2,000 villages and urban slums in 27 states, every year.
Main function:
The Finance Officer will be responsible for all financial aspects of the livelihood – Skilling department. He/she will manage budget, prepare financial reports and ensure that all financial transactions are conducted ethically by the grassroot partner and team on ground.
Job Description
- Continuous coordination with the Ros/CBOs regarding all financial matters.
- Checking the bills, preparing requisition, organizing approvals and release of payment to CBOs & Ros for smooth running of the program.
- Review of all compliance and governance issue related to operations.
- Internal approval to release the fund.
- Visit to project location for necessary hand holding and instant audit.
- Orientation training of the team to collect proper bills and technically correct voucher creation.
- Maintaining expenditure status.
- Handling all finance related query from internal and external auditors.
- Support emergency response activities as when required.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as and when assigned by the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in M.Com., B.Com., MBA, BBA or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant work experience in finance.
