Position Title:
Capacity Building Officer, Health project at Harichandanpur Block of Keonjhar district

Women's Organization for Socio Cultural Awareness (WOSCA)

Women's Organization for Socio-Cultural Awareness (WOSCA) is a voluntary organization established on 20th December 1993 in Keonjhar district of Odisha to serve the under privileged families with special focus on women and children. It has been registered under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 in the year 1993-94 and registered under FCRA in the year 2000. Since its inception it has been taking up need-based programs in areas where tribal concentration is more. Most of its programs are women focused. WOSCA is working on governance & livelihood, health & education, women & child rights, and preservation of environment. WOSCA at present covers 1,80,000 families through its 19 development projects in different parts of India. WOSCA is currently managing different health and nutrition projects such as Maternity Waiting Home (Maa Gruha), Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC), Creches, Integrated Health & Nutrition Intervention project etc.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary resource for designing, implementing, and monitoring capacity-building initiatives for creche workers, helpers, and community stakeholders in the Telkoiblock.
* Develop and deliver training programs on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE),child health, nutrition, hygiene, and psychosocial support, ensuring alignment withproject goals and best practices.
* Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps among crechestaff and design targeted capacity-building plans.
* Provide on-site mentoring, coaching, and supportive supervision to creche workers toensure high-quality service delivery.
* Organize and facilitate workshops, orientation sessions, and peer-learning forums forcreche staff, parents, and community members.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through pre- and post-training assessments and feedback mechanisms.
* Develop and update training modules, manuals, and reference materials for creche staffand stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Creche Manager, Program Manager, and government stakeholdersto ensure alignment of capacity-building efforts with project objectives.
* Document and report on training activities, participant progress, and program impact forinternal and external stakeholders.
* Stay updated on best practices in early childhood development and capacity-buildingstrategies and integrate them into program design.
* Perform any other duties assigned by the Program Manager in line with project requirements.

Required Competencies
Skills:
* Strong understanding of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), child development, and community-based childcare models.
* Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, curriculum development, and adult learning methodologies.
* Excellent facilitation, presentation, and mentoring skills with the ability to engagediverse audiences.
* Strong analytical and documentation skills to assess training impact and prepare reports.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, government stakeholders, and community members.
* Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for training delivery and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills in Odia and English (verbal and written).
Educational Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Education/Nutrition, Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
* Master's degree is preferred.
Work Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in capacity building, training delivery, or skilldevelopment programs, preferably in early childhood development, maternal and child health, or community welfare sectors.
* Experience working in rural or tribal settings in Odisha will be an advantage.
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in early childhood education.
Travel Requirements:
* Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and have access to a two-wheeler forofficial travel.
* Must be willing to travel extensively to creche locations in Telkoi block, including remoteand rural areas.

Project Salary: Consolidated INR 35,000 per month

Terms of Employment:
* Only women candidate will be eligible to apply.
* This is a full-time position based in Harichandanpur block, Keonjhar.
* The initial contract will be for a period of 11 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project funding availability.
