POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of Senior Manager-Accounts, responsible for all accounting & related documentation. .
A. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Transaction Processing, Book keeping and Documentation:
• Enter accounting data in accounting system (Tally) on a daily basis.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the data entered in Tally.
• Preparation of accounting vouchers, getting them approved and filing of the vouchers on a timely basis.
• Reconcile account balances from time to time as per the requirements.
• Keep the office filling system of finance reports/ files/ registers/ papers organised with support and guidance from Sr. Manager - Accounts.
2. Payments:
• Process all staff and vendor payments as per PSI India policies and processes • Ensure timely payments to creditors and staff.
• Ensure correct deduction of TDS as per prevailing rates.
• Analysis of debtors and creditors. Submit aging analysis, preparation of aging analysis (Debtors and creditors), BRS and Cheque book inventory.
• To ensure that all expenses are in conformity and are processed as per Policy and Procedures Outlined in the Finance Manual.
3. Fund Management:
• Monitor fund balance in the bank account(s) and in Account books and to inform the supervisor on the uncleared transactions.
• Support –the supervisor in preparation of Bank reconciliation on monthly basis.
4. Audits and Reports:
• Support the supervisor in preparation of Tax Reports to be submitted to the Tax consultants on a quarterly basis
• Support the supervisor in preparation of Quarterly/ Monthly/ Annual reports for internal and external stakeholders including Donors.
• Preparations of reports for the management review as per requirements.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis.
• Provide accounting data and documentations required for audits conducted in the organisation.,
• Assist the supervisor in preparation of material/ tools for staff trainings, workshop and/ or staff induction.
B. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Post graduate degree with 3-5 years of experience in Accounts and Finance functions, preferably in an NGO.
• Graduate degree with 5-8 years of experience in Accounts and Finance functions, preferably in an NGO.
