ABOUT THE JOB
The incumbent would be the on-the-ground focal point for the implementation of the project “Improving Pre School Education in Anganwadi Centers in SPSR Nellore District.
The position will have to undertake all the project related activities and ensure coordination between Anganwadi centers, government, communities and Plan India program team for smooth execution of gender transformative programs aligned with Plan India’ purpose of ensuring Girls are empowered to take actions and get equal.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop project Manual with support of line manager on project activities and outcomes for reference to project staff during implementation.
• Develop work plan in consultation with Line Manager and ensure proper execution of the same
• Liaise with Government officials, anganwadi center representatives to explore their needs and collect all the project related primary and secondary data from field as per the tools provided by the project.
• Responsible for the overall implementation of activities in the field on day to day basis in anganwadi centers i.e. Upgradation of WASH facilities, Trainings related to the Project implementation and capacity building of project staff, monitoring of staff/activities etc.
• Liaise with Anganwadi authorities, and ICDS officers at block, district level for smooth implementation of project related activities.
• Develop IEC and other documents required for project implementation.
• Recruitment, orientation and regular training/capacity building of project staff.
• Co-ordination with various staff involved in the project for proper assessment and implementation of project related activities as per action plan.
• Documentation, maintenance of MIS and reporting as per project requirement. (videos, photos, case studies, etc)
• Timely co-ordination and support for donor interface, visits and compliance.
• Preparation and submission of progress reports of activities status in a timely manner – daily/weekly and monthly as required.
• Backup and storing of photos, MIS, reports, documentation of participants list, acknowledgements etc. and proper filing in office.
• Ensuring all finance/admin procedure are in place during implementation.
• Support project co-ordinators, civil engineer liaison with anganwadi staff, community, panchayat for execution of work.
• Monitoring of action plans/activities of project staff and ensure quality compliance as per project manual to meet project objectives.
• Develop new proposals for fund raising and projects.
• To provide support in documenting case studies & best practices.
• To abide by all the policies and guidelines of Plan India during the contract period.
• Any other task as required by the Line Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Any degree preferable related to social work.
• At least 3 years of work experience in supporting community outreach, coaching, teaching, training, or related activity. Preference for any work or training in social cohesion.
• Work experience of co-ordinating teams and experience of working with government officials at various levels.

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking in Telugu and English is mandatory.
