Project Brief:
This project, implemented by PSMRI in partnership with the STOP TB Partnership and supported through the U.S. Department of State, aims to strengthen tuberculosis (TB) detection and linkage to treatment among underserved tribal populations across India. Phase 1 of the initiative will screen approximately 2 million people across 24 districts in 8 highburden states using 150 mobile screening teams equipped with AI-enabled portable digital X-ray and molecular diagnostic tools. The project will deploy a large field workforce supported by strong monitoring and program management structures to ensure quality, speed, and accountability. The following role contributes to this effort by supporting community screening, diagnostics, coordination, monitoring, and linkage to TB treatment under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
Role Overview:
Mobile Enginering Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and highperforming mobile applications across various HealthTech initiatives and digital healthcare programs. The role provides technical leadership, establishes mobile architecture standards, and collaborates with product, clinical, business, and technology stakeholders to deliver innovative mobile solutions that enhance patient, provider, and operational experiences. Also adapt to different project requirements and healthcare domains, ensuring compliance, quality, performance, and successful delivery aligned with organizational goals.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of mobile applications.
• Define and drive mobile architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mobile developers.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
• Ensure application scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
• Manage mobile release planning and deployment processes.
• Coordinate with backend, QA, DevOps, and UX teams for seamless delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering practices.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and capability development of engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to organizational compliance, security, and quality standards.
Essential Experience & Skills:
• 10 years of hands-on mobile application development experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading mobile engineering teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Experience with end-to-end mobile application lifecycle management, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend teams, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile release management.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in performance optimization, application security, and mobile analytics
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and mobile application architecture.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Mobile platform certifications (Android, iOS, Cloud, Security) are a plus.
• Exposure to cloud-native and microservices-based ecosystems.
Essential Skills:
