About the project:
With the support of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) and guidance from the Central TB Division, will be implementing; (a) Integrated Pediatric TB care services in both the public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes, and (b) Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations, using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices. The project is being carried out through Sub-Recipient (SR) partners in the states of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
MAMTA HIMC has been selected as a Sub Recipient to SAATHII for implementing the (a) Integrated Pediatric TB care services in both the public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes, and (b) Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations, using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices in selected districts of Rajasthan.
MAMTA HIMC seeks District ACF Coordinator based at district headquarter of the implementation geographies to lead implementation of project "Decentralizing Pediatric TB Care Services in Public & Private Health Sector and enhance case detection through ACF with Handheld X-Ray in Banswara, Chittaurgarh, Churu, Dholpur, Ganganagar, Jalore, Jhalawar, Karauli, Rajsamand, Sirohi districts of Rajasthan.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Active Case Finding (ACF) strategy in the district level using handheld portable X-ray device and provide technical support to district NTEP units in planning and implementation of the activities as per the Project Guidelines
• Develop a comprehensive plan for ACF in the district, including strategies, timelines, and resource allocation with NTEP
• Liaise and coordinate with different stakeholders of all departments in the district like WCD, RBSK/RKSK and AAMs for planning day-to-day ACF activities.
• Collect the secondary information from various health and non-health departments for the mapping of Key Vulnerable Populations in the district in order to develop a plan for ACF Activities
• Collaborate with local leaders and community organizations to gain support and promote participation in screening activities.
• Support & guide Hand-Held X-Ray Coordinator to develop a weekly and monthly schedule for organizing CXR camps at facilities and within the community
• Coordinate with the Hand-Held X-Ray Coordinator to identify program deliverable gaps and address them to improve the performance
• Facilitate microplanning and training for the health staff including ASHA, and AWW at the district and block level on the ACF campaign.
• Leverage the Community Engagement activities, door-to-door visits, mobile clinics, and health camps for actively identifying the individuals with TB symptoms /camps for ACF at Districts level conducted by different health departments like AAM (NHM)/WCD, RBSK/RKSK and NTEP
• Identify community structures and engage them as community volunteers, or leverage existing volunteers
• Liaise with the NTEP team in the district for planning the Routine ACF Activities to support for quality and proper tracking/documentation of the activities.
• Network with all Project Hubs/Facilities in both Private & Public where the people with abnormal CXR were referred for sample collection for further testing in NAAT/ other molecular tests.
• Establish a system for referring individuals with TB symptoms to healthcare facilities for diagnosis and treatment
• Ensure the logistic and resources planning for the availability of necessary resources, including diagnostic tools, consumables, transportation and supplies for active case-finding activities.
• Support the system by identifying a Radiologist within the District for the X-ray interpretation support, especially for those with negative test results
• Identify and develop MoUs with Private Labs for CXR Services required in the district
• Develop a robust mechanism for the collection of data, tracking, and documenting in the Nikshay and other systems introduced by the Project
• Participate in the Project Review Meetings conducted at state level and represent the district for giving the updates and sharing the experiences/issues/gaps for discussing the solutions.
• Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the project and organization
Qualifications and Skills:
• Postgraduate/Graduate in Social Work/Social Science/public health/management with a minimum 3-4 years of experience of implementing health related programs at the district level, preferably in TB.
• Understanding of the TB or any public health program, public health systems, and private health sector functioning is essential
• Ability to engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, civil society and communities at district level
• Familiarity with experience using excel and using project data in program management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in regional language and English
• Willingness to be based in district headquarters, and frequent travel to project geographies and to state headquarters for trainings and meetings
• Basic knowledge & practice of computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office (Excel/Word & PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment
The gross monthly remuneration for this position will be up to ?35,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, salary history and as per the available budget in the grant. Please mention the current and expected remuneration package in your application.
