Job Title: Optometrist

Location: Balasore Lions Eye Hospital and Research Centre, Rajabagicha, Balasore
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 1 year to 2 years
Salary: Salary based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye examinations including distance and near visual acuity assessment
Conduct objective and subjective refraction and prescribe corrective spectacle lenses
Carry out slit-lamp biomicroscopy, fundus examination with indirect ophthalmoscope, and applanation tonometry
Screen patients for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and cataracts
Provide low vision assessment and recommend appropriate optical or non-optical assistive devices

Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma in Optometry ,Digree in Optometry & Certified Ophthalmic Assistant from a recognised institution; registration with the State Optometry / Allied Health Professions Council where applicable. Experience in a hospital eye department or standalone eye clinic is preferred.
