Job Purpose
Lead the Human Resource function reporting to the Director – HR,OD & Operations and ensure strategic and operational Human Resources and Organizational Development initiatives to build a high-performing, future-ready and people-centric organization. The role aims to strengthen talent management, organizational development, employee experience, leadership capability, HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and digital HR practices in alignment with organizational goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Organizational Development
• Support the implementation of HR & OD strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
• Drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning, organization development, change management, and continuous process improvement.
• Strengthen organizational culture, employee engagement, leadership capability, and diversity, equity & inclusion.
Talent Acquisition & Talent Management
• Lead end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning to ensure timely acquisition of quality talent.
• Strengthen employer branding, succession planning, talent development, and employee retention initiatives.
Performance, Learning & Leadership Development
• Drive strategic performance management systems. Lead the Performance Management process and ensure quality and timely completion of performance review processes.
• Develop and implement learning, leadership development, and capacity-building initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
• Manage employee learning, retention and growth pathways to enhance and strengthen the organization capabilities.
• Build strong mentoring and coaching systems to create succession pathways.
Employee Relations & Employee Experience
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
• Lead grievance management, employee relations, workplace investigations, and implementation of POSH, safeguarding, and employee wellbeing initiatives.
HR Operations, Governance & Compliance
• Ensure efficient HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract management, confirmations, exits, and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, statutory requirements, and labour laws while continuously strengthening HR systems and processes.
HR Analytics & Digital HR
• Develop HR dashboards and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
• Promote digital HR solutions, HR analytics, and responsible adoption of AI-enabled HR practices to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while fostering collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Build strong partnerships with managers and leadership teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
• Master's/Post Graduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 10 + years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in an NGO/INGO or multi-location organization.
• Sound knowledge of Indian Labour Laws, POSH Act, Safeguarding, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) practices.
• Exposure to HRIS, HR Analytics, Digital HR, and AI-enabled HR practices will be an advantage.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, leadership, coaching, communication, and facilitation skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, innovation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
