Bharat HR Services is inviting applications for the position of Finance Manager with a leading Global HealthTech Social Enterprise working to improve access to affordable and quality healthcare across underserved communities.

The organisation operates across India, Southeast Asia, and Africa, partnering with leading global pharmaceutical companies to strengthen healthcare access through innovative, technology-enabled service delivery models.

This is a full-time senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the finance function for the organisation's India operations. The role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong expertise in statutory compliance, financial governance, audits, budgeting, reporting, payroll oversight, internal financial controls, and finance leadership.

Who Should Apply
This opportunity is best suited for professionals who:
• Are qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
• Have a minimum of 7 years of overall professional experience in finance, accounting, audits, statutory compliance, financial reporting, or related finance functions.
• Have at least 3 years of experience in a senior finance, compliance, or leadership role within a compliance-intensive environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, HealthTech, life sciences, medical devices, or another highly regulated industry.
• Have independently managed statutory audits and regulatory compliance.
• Possess strong working knowledge of Indian taxation and statutory regulations.
• Have experience leading finance operations rather than only handling transactional accounting activities.
• Have supervised, guided, or mentored finance team members.
• Are confident in preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills and can confidently participate in professional discussions with senior stakeholders.

Position Summary
The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for the organisation's India entities while providing strategic financial oversight to senior leadership.

The role is responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, strengthening financial controls, managing audits, preparing budgets and financial reports, overseeing payroll compliance, supervising finance operations, supporting strategic financial decision-making, and coordinating with both India and global finance teams.

While the Finance Assistant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, the Finance Manager will provide strategic leadership by reviewing, approving, monitoring, and continuously strengthening financial governance, internal controls, compliance, and overall finance operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Governance & Internal Controls
• Review and approve payment batches, journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments before financial closure.
• Review and approve monthly management accounts.
• Review reconciliations including:
o Bank Accounts
o GST
o Vendor Ledgers
o Intercompany Accounts
• Maintain and continuously improve monthly financial closing checklists, reporting schedules, and finance governance processes.
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure financial accuracy.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, documentation standards, and approval processes.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies while ensuring timely escalation wherever required.

Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Management
Take complete ownership of statutory compliance for the India entities, including:
• GST Compliance
• TDS / TCS
• Advance Tax
• MCA Filings
• RBI / FEMA Compliance
• Other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements

The selected candidate will also:
• Lead statutory audits independently from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Resolve audit observations and queries.
• Maintain audit readiness throughout the year.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities whenever required.

Budgeting, Financial Planning & Reporting
• Lead annual budgeting exercises.
• Develop rolling financial forecasts.
• Monitor Budget vs Actual performance.
• Prepare detailed variance analysis for management.
• Produce timely and decision-ready management reports, including:
o Profit & Loss Statements
o Cash Position Reports
o Cash Flow Forecasts
o Budget vs Actual Reports
o Burn Rate Reports
o Monthly MIS Reports
Reports should be accurate, timely, concise, and designed to support effective business decision-making.

Payroll Oversight
• Review and approve monthly payroll.
• Ensure accurate statutory deductions, including:
o PF
o ESI
o TDS
o Professional Tax
• Advise management on compliance with Indian labour regulations across employee and contractor engagements.

Intercompany Finance & ERP Systems
• Oversee intercompany billing, reconciliations, and settlements.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements.
• Coordinate with the global finance team on intercompany reporting and year-end adjustments.
• Provide finance leadership during ERP implementation or migration projects.
• Ensure data integrity, chart of accounts accuracy, and successful post-migration reconciliations.
Experience working with Xero, Odoo, ZipERP, or other cloud-based ERP or accounting systems will be an added advantage.

Team Leadership
• Review the work performed by the Finance Assistant.
• Conduct regular review meetings and provide structured feedback.
• Guide and mentor the finance team on accounting processes, controls, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
• Act as the first point of escalation for finance-related issues.
• Promote continuous improvement across finance operations.

Educational Qualification
Mandatory
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Experience Required
• Minimum 7 years of overall professional experience in finance, accounting, statutory compliance, audits, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior finance, compliance, or leadership role within a compliance-intensive environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, HealthTech, life sciences, medical devices, or other highly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated experience in managing statutory audits, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, payroll oversight, and internal financial controls.
• Experience in leading finance operations, supervising finance teams, and collaborating with senior management to support strategic financial planning and business decision-making.
• Experience working with ERP or cloud-based accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be preferred.
