About the Position
The Field Coordinator will support the implementation of Project SAATHI at the community level by coordinating field activities, supervising community outreach, strengthening linkages with frontline workers and government institutions, and ensuring timely delivery of project interventions. The position will work closely with ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Committees (VHSNCs), and local community leaders to facilitate effective implementation of anaemia prevention and health promotion activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Field Implementation
• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of project activities within assigned blocks or clusters.
• Prepare weekly and monthly field activity plans in consultation with the District Project Coordinator.
• Facilitate community awareness sessions, nutrition education meetings, and behaviour change communication activities.
• Support implementation of village-level campaigns during Nutrition Month, Anaemia Day, and other health observances.
• Ensure timely implementation of project work plans and activity schedules.

2. Community Mobilisation
• Mobilize women, caregivers and community members for project activities.
• Strengthen community participation through engagement with Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Committees (VHSNCs), Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and community leaders.
• Promote participation of vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations.
• Facilitate referral and follow-up of beneficiaries identified as being at risk of anaemia.

3. Coordination with Frontline Workers
• Work closely with ASHAs, AWWs, ANMs, and ICDS Supervisors to plan and implement project activities.
• Support organization of Social Learning Programmes and capacity-building sessions for frontline workers.
• Assist frontline workers in community-based anaemia risk assessment using the NISA tool.
• Strengthen convergence with Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Days (VHSNDs) and Anganwadi Centre activities.
• Encourage timely follow-up of beneficiaries requiring confirmatory testing and treatment.
4. Monitoring and Supportive Supervision
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation quality.
• Provide supportive supervision to frontline workers during community activities.
• Monitor participation, quality of sessions, and adherence to project protocols.
• Identify implementation challenges and report them to the District Project Coordinator.
• Support corrective actions to improve programme quality.

5. Data Collection and Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and beneficiary participation.
• Verify attendance registers, activity reports, referral records, and screening data.
• Support baseline, monitoring, and end-line data collection activities.
• Coordinate with Data Enumerators and the M&E Officer to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Submit weekly and monthly field reports to the District Project Coordinator.

6. Stakeholder Coordination
• Maintain regular coordination with Block Medical Officers, Medical Officers, CDPOs, ICDS Supervisors, Gram Panchayats, and village-level stakeholders.
• Participate in block and village-level review meetings.
• Facilitate permissions and logistical arrangements for field activities.
• Represent iRG at local coordination meetings as required.

7. Logistics and Programme Support
• Coordinate venue arrangements, participant mobilisation, and logistics for trainings, workshops, and community sessions.
• Ensure timely distribution of IEC materials and project supplies.
• Maintain inventories of field materials and report replenishment requirements.
• Support documentation through photographs, participant feedback, and success stories.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Rural Development, Nutrition, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
Desirable: Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in implementing community-based health, nutrition, or development programmes.
• Experience in community mobilisation and capacity-building activities.
• Experience coordinating with ASHAs, AWWs, ANMs, and local governance institutions.
• Experience in field reporting and documentation.
