Consultant Psychiatrist – MIND-TB: TB & Mental Health Program

SCARF India, in partnership with REACH, is hiring a Consultant Psychiatrist for MIND-TB, a stepped-care program addressing common mental disorders among TB patients. As mental health lead, the role involves diagnosing and treating anxiety and depression in TB patients, prescribing and managing psychotropic medications with awareness of drug-drug interactions, coordinating with medical officers, counsellors, and TB Champions, providing supervision to multidisciplinary staff, and field travel to TB units within the district.

Requirements: MD/DNB/DPM in Psychiatry with active State/National Medical Council registration; 1–3 years post-qualification experience preferred (early-career professionals welcome); expertise in polypharmacy and consultation-liaison psychiatry; fluency in Hindi, Marathi, and local dialects. Prior experience in public health, hospital psychiatry, or integrated care (HIV/Oncology) is a plus.
Engagement: Part-time; 35-month tenure (September 2026–June 2029).
Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra
