Job Title: Field Coordinator (Filed Implementer/Documentation Officer)

Reports to: Senior Programme Lead / Associate Director

Location:Kolkata, West Bengal.

Position Summary
The Field Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the vermicompost production unit, including site selection, construction of vermi pits and monitoring ongoing waste management project. The role involves training slum women, ensuring quality control of the output, and maintaining meticulous documentation of field activities, production data, and beneficiary progress.

Key Responsibilities
1. Field Implementation & Operational Management (60%)
Site Selection & Setup: Identify suitable locations for vermicomposting units, ensuring availability of water, raw material (cow dung/organic waste), and proper ventilation.
Technical Implementation: Construct vermipits, prepare and manage the bed feeding process (moisture control, pre-decomposition of organic waste),
Process Monitoring: Regularly monitor bed conditions, including temperature, moisture levels, and compost production.
Harvesting & Packing: Supervise the harvesting of vermicompost, proper moisture content, and final packaging.
Quality Control: Maintain quality standards by ensuring proper segregation of waste.
2. Documentation, Reporting & Data Management (30%)
Real-time Data Collection: Record daily data regarding raw materials consumed, worker participation, bed conditions, and production volume through physical verification and maintain the registers.
Project Progress Reporting: Prepare daily / weekly/monthly reports on field progress (Target vs. Actuals) for the senior programme lead.
Documentation & Reporting: Document success stories, case studies, and beneficiary profiles.
Input/Output Documentation: Meticulously track and verify the purchase and application of inputs (worms, bio-waste) and the sale/distribution of output (compost, worms).
3. Coordination & Training (10%)
Beneficiary Training: Conduct training sessions for local women's groups on vermicomposting techniques, bed maintenance, and harvesting.
Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with local self-government, local opinion leaders, partners and slim women to ensure project smooth operation.

Required Qualifications
Education: Master in social work from recognised university
Experience: 5 to 10 years of field-level experience in CSR project, organic farming, waste management and livelihood projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word / Power point).
Excellent in Bengali, Hindi and English language communication skills (written and verbal).
Physical aptitude for working in open areas and farm environments.
Accuracy and timeliness of data entry and reports.
