Core Responsibilities :
Core Financial Management
* Maintain accurate financial records, including ledger entries, accounts, and transaction logs.?
* Oversee daily financial operations such as fund disbursement, payroll, and expense tracking.?
Compliance and Audit Preparation
* Ensure all financial activities comply with local laws, donor requirements, and organizational
policies.?
* Prepare and provide support for audits by maintaining organized documentation and addressing
compliance issues.?
Budgeting and Financial Planning
* Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and forecasts.?
* Monitor budget utilization and ensure funds are allocated efficiently.?
Reporting and Reconciliation
* Generate timely financial reports, including project-wise fund utilization, balance sheets, and
income statements.?
* Reconcile accounts such as cash, bank, and donor funds periodically.?
Internal Controls and Fraud Prevention
* Implement effective internal controls to safeguard organizational funds and assets.?
* Regularly review processes and systems to identify and mitigate risks of mismanagement or
fraud.?
Capacity Building and Team Support
* Train field staff and project teams on financial management practices, including documentation
standards and compliance.?
* Act as a financial advisor to program teams, providing guidance on budget-related matters.?
Coordination with Stakeholders
* Liaise with donors, program managers, and field teams to align financial objectives with project
goals.?
* Communicate financial updates and address donor queries effectively.?
Field Visits for Verification
* Conduct field visits when necessary to verify bills, vouchers, and supporting documents to ensure
authenticity.
* Cross-check that field-level expenditures align with the approved budget and organizational
policies.
