MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project with a focus on improving Mother and Child Health outcomes amongst the rural population in Hardoi District of Uttar Pradesh by enhancing the capacity and skills of FLWs (ASHA, AWW, ANM). Currently, MAMTA-HIMC is looking for a suitable candidate in the capacity of Master Trainer for the successful implementation of the project.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Conduct training and refresher training sessions for ASHAs, ANMs and AWWs on maternal, newborn and child health.
• Support the planning and organisation of training sessions in coordination with block-level health officials and project staff.
• Provide practical guidance and mentoring to frontline workers to improve their knowledge and skills.
• Support mentors and project staff during field activities and provide guidance whenever required.
• Visit VHSND and PMSMA sessions and provide supportive supervision to improve the quality of services.
• Support staff nurses and health facility teams in improving maternal and newborn care practices, including quality of services in the labour room.
• Maintain records of training, attendance, mentoring visits and other capacity-building activities.
• Prepare quarterly and monthly reports for donor sharing.
• Provide technical support to the project team on maternal and newborn health issues, as required.
• Participate in review meetings and other project activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor according to project needs.
Qualification and Experience
• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in public health programmes, training, or teaching will be preferred.
• Good clinical knowledge of obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Experience in training and mentoring healthcare workers will be an added advantage.
Key Competencies
• Good understanding of the maternal, newborn and child health system and government health programmes in Uttar Pradesh.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Good training, facilitation and capacity-building skills.
• Ability to mentor and provide supportive guidance to frontline health workers.
• Good documentation and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain and manage programme data and prepare basic reports.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with government health officials, healthcare providers and project teams.
• Willingness to travel to field locations as required.
• Local candidates will be preferred.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with the previous drawn salary, qualification, and experience.
