• Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
• Research and write press releases, and content for the Organisation's website, annual report, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
• Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the Organisation’s policies,
principles, and strategies, and keep up to date with relevant developments.
• Update the rating on social media
• Write success stories about the Indian projects.
• Organize research trips where professional photographers or filmmakers document the projects.
• Participate in the delivery of news from the projects for the communication channels of the office in India and Switzerland.
• Produce short mobile phone videos from the projects.
• Engage with the global communications team on a monthly basis.
• Develop successful stories and high-definition photos during field visits.
• Develop collaterals like photo album, coffee books, brochures, and other advertising materials.
• Update the information about the organization on social media.
• Arrange and coordinate media events.
• Adhere to the Organisation’s branding, ensuring that we produce high-quality and error-free copies.
• Work with key internal players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the
Organisation’s strategy and support in branding SEI.
• Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
• Promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information
on the Organisation’s behalf.
• Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements, etc.
• Collaborate with the Indian fundraising team to produce copy for advertisements or articles
• Aligning and supporting quality and corporate design as well as web page development

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or mass communication with Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Passion and talent for writing and communication
• 5 years of experience in Public Relations, Media, or Communications Divisions of organizations
• Experience in using social media tools such as Facebook, X (formerly know as Twitter), Word press, and blogs (please attach two samples of your recent work, along with a proof of content creation/byline)
• Prior experience in working with international NGOs/ organizations of promoting philanthropy to social and development projects in India.
• IT, website designing, content writing, social media update and feedback / Computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Above average reliability and personal responsibility
