Vacancy - Behavioral therapists for kids
Location: Andul, Howrah, West Bengal

Assignment: Full-time (9 am to 5 pm)

A Special Educator for individuals has a specialized role in supporting the educational, developmental, and social needs of students with cognitive impairments. Here are the key job responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Evaluation
• Conduct formal and informal assessments with different disabilities.
• Develop individualized assessments plan, in collaboration with team.
• Monitoring student’s progress regularly.
• Prepare report of each student after giving the therapy and the requirement of the therapy.
2. Individualized Instruction
• Observe the students (Social Communication and flexibility of thought)
• Recognize the disability of the beneficiaries .
• Use adaptive teaching methods, visual aids, hands-on activities, and assistive technology.
• Focus on life skills and social-emotional development.
• To help a child identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts and behavior.
3. Behavior Management
• Use positive behavior support techniques.
• Focusing on therapeutic alliance.
• Reduce challenging behavior of beneficiaries.
4. Collaboration
• Collaborate with parents, Physiotherapist and other professionals as required.
• Organise meetings, case reviews, and transition planning.
5. Advocacy and Inclusion
• Advocate for the rights and needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
• Provide awareness and sensitivity training for parents and peers.
6. Administrative and Documentation Tasks
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance.
• Prepare reports and participate in meetings.
7. Professional Development
• Stay updated with best practices in special education, teaching methods, and legal requirements.
• Attend workshops, training, and certification programs relevant to ASD, ADHD.
8. Family Support
• Offer guidance to parents on how to support their child's mental progress and also mental condition.
• Conduct home visits if required.

Skills:

? High level of proficiency in ASD and ADHD, relevant field.
? Proficient in Internet and basic computer.

Qualification:

• Post graduates in relevant Field
• Must have B.Ed in Special Education (ID, MR)

Experience:

• Experience of at least 3 – 7 years in same field.

Salary: 15k to 20k .
