Background
Under Global Fund for fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) Round 2024-27, National AIDS Control Organization selected Family Health India (FH India) as a Sub Recepient (SR) for Capacity Building Project in two regions of India (South and Northeast). Capacity building Project will contribute to strengthening key components under NACP to enhance its effectiveness in addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic across India's diverse landscape especially in the Southern states. Through strategic investments in prevention, treatment, stigma reduction, capacity building, and research, Capacity Building Project can make significant strides towards achieving its goals of reducing HIV incidence, improving the quality of life for those affected, and ultimately ending the epidemic in India.
Goal: : Enhance the training skill, knowledge, and capacity of all the cadres under NACP to strengthen the program implementation across 36 Indian States/Union Territories to achieve 95:95:99 targets.
Objectives:
- Create, collate and consolidate comprehensive and customized training packages designed to address the specific needs and roles of all the cadres involved in NACP.
- Enhance the holistic knowledge of all Cadres on NACP as well as build technical knowledge and skillbased competencies on different thematic areas to achieve a uniform level of knowledge across different regions of the country.
- Develop strategies to ensure the continuity and sustainability of training initiatives beyond the project phase through institutionalizing training programs and ensuring a robust system of program implementation within healthcare systems.
Job Description:
- Support training of resource persons (Clinical and non-clinical) across South and Northeast.
- Support cascade training of Master Trainers (Clinical) including PD/APD; CMOs/SMOs;
- Pharmacists/Staff Nurses; Laboratory technicians and Technical Officer
- Support training of Master Trainers (non-clinical) including Counsellors, Community Care Coordinators (ARTC), Project Manager (PM), Counsellor, Outreach Workers (ORW) in Community Care Centers; Program Staff and Coordinators (CoE and PCoE); existing and new staff within DAPCU and DISHA and training of Data Managers from various centers.
- Support training of clinical and non-clinical NACP staff in the states.
- Support Program Management Training of staff in NACO, SACS, DISHA, DACO.
- Institute Learning Management Information System (LMIS) for continuous refresher training for different categories of NACP staff.
- Support Monitoring, evaluation, and learning for continuous quality assurance, and sharing of lessons learned.
- Support development of Tools and Formats for recording, monitoring and reporting.
- Conduct regular Monitoring and Supportive Supervision of training for quality Training and periodic review of project activities.
- Support platform for regular knowledge sharing and exchange of best practices.
- Submit regular reports on the training programs.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- M.B.B.S and/or master’s in social sciences, health or development field (or equivalent)
- 5-8 years of relevant project management and/or advisory experience in the health or development sectors in a leadership role.
- Experience in managing HIV programs and has experience in building capacity of different cadres in NACP.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of development issues and the HIV epidemic(s) in India.
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in civil society and the government at different levels.
- Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary staff and financial resources.
- The language proficiency for the candidate in Telangana may be English and Telugu and that for Goa candidate may be English and Hindi.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) along with familiarity with related digital tools.
COMPENSATION
Compensation levels at FH India are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on salary history, relevant experience, and qualifications.
