Field investigator (Male), to undertake the household survey to generate detailed evidence on maternal health behaviors, anemia management, and the continuum of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) practices within the five project districts. The field investigators will be responsible for implementing the RMLE data collection in her/his assigned district/blocks. S/he will ensure complete adherence to protocol, and high efficiency and quality of data collection. They will work in close coordination with the State RMLE team (PD/ SPL/PL/Sr Analyst) and accountable for the overall success of the RMLE data collection. Based on the need they will also collect data in other than the assigned districts.
This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Ensure strict adherence to the data collection protocol.
• Optimize data collection efficiency by developing well-structured operational, travel, and logistics plans.
• Complete the assigned data collection tasks within the specified timeline.
• Maintain accuracy and representativeness in sample selection.
• Uphold data quality by ensuring accurate and reliable data capture while administering all instruments.
• Assist in conducting pre-testing and cognitive testing of new instruments.
Desirable Qualification & Experience :
• Essential: o Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline with minimum one years of relevant work experience in data collection.
o Experience in large-scale household survey data collection and facility data collection.
o Requirement: The candidate must possess their own Android mobile phone for data collection.
o Must have two-wheeler with valid driving license.
Preferred:
o Excellent communication skills in Hindi and local dialects of Bihar.
o Experience in using digital data collection tools. Ability to collect data using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI).
o Strong understanding of Public Health Program (including ICDS) and exposure to different terminologies used in Maternal and Child Health Programs
Essential Skills:
Communication skills:
o Able to communicate in all local and regional languages in Bihar.
o Possess a deep understanding of maternal health, anemia management, and high-risk pregnancy protocols, as well as the existing public health structure and VHSND framework in Bihar.
Travel: Willing to travel within the districts of assigned divisions
