Hiring of Individual Consultant for module development for front line workers
Background of the organisation
Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation (VCF), Vijayawada, is a non-profit organization committed to driving social development initiatives with a focus on health, nutrition, education, and livelihood enhancement. The foundation has played a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for marginalized communities in Andhra Pradesh and beyond. Through partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders, VCF implements evidence-based programs that address critical issues such as malnutrition, maternal and child health, food fortification, and hygiene awareness. Its holistic approach combines capacity building, community engagement, and innovative solutions to create sustainable impact. Over the years, VCF has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality interventions that align with national and global development goals.
Background of the assignment:
Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation is developing training modules for front line workers (FLWs) and school functionaries. These modules help in streamline the training delivery. Also helpful in increase knowledge and practices around the nutrition. These modules will be submitted to the government department to ensure the regular trainings with the FLWs and school functionaries.
These efforts aim to strengthen policy dialogue, promote evidence-based programming, and enhance engagement with government stakeholders, development partners, and sector experts. To support the effective planning, coordination, facilitation, and documentation of these activities, an individual consultant is required.
Objectives of the Assignment
The assignment aims to provide technical support in developing the training modules for the front line workers to ensure quality and uniform training delivery across the project areas.
Specific objectives include:
- Technical Excellence: Develop robust training modules strictly aligned with CMAM and AMMA protocols and PM Poshan schemes.
- Contextualization: Adapt modules to the local context and incorporate recent policy guidelines to enhance FLW and school functionaries’ comprehension and field application.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all training materials meet high technical, editorial, and pedagogical benchmarks for professional publication.
Scope of Work / Key Tasks
A. Desk review
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing training materials and current field practices.
- Perform a comparative analysis between existing documents and the latest AMMA/CMAM protocols to identify technical or pedagogical gaps.
- Collaborate with the CmF team to validate identified gaps and prioritize content needs.
B. Technical Support
- Synthesize available resources to draft updated content that addresses previously identified gaps.
- Ensure 100% alignment with national/regional health and nutrition policies and AMMA/CMAM technical standards.
- Simplify complex clinical guidelines into "field-friendly" language without losing technical accuracy.
C. Documentation & Knowledge Products
- Tailor specific modules for six distinct cadres: AWW, AWH, ANM, ASHA, School / MDM in-charge, Cook cum helpers.
- Incorporate local cultural nuances and imagery to ensure the content resonates with beneficiaries.
- Manage formatting, layout, and quality control in coordination with the CmF and VCF team to produce print-ready modules.
