Sidhbaba Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) is a farmer-owned collective headquartered in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, dedicated to strengthening agricultural livelihoods through collective action, resource pooling, and market linkages. We work with smallholder farmers across the region, providing access to quality inputs, credit, and remunerative markets.
The organization is currently implementing projects under the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) supported scheme and the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, bringing structured funding, compliance responsibilities, and significant growth opportunities that require professional financial management.
About the Position

Sidhbaba FPO is at an exciting inflection point — backed by NCDC and PMFME schemes, we are scaling operations, deepening market linkages for our farmer members, and building institutional credibility as one of the most promising agri-enterprises in the Garhwal region. As we grow, sound financial management is not just a support function — it is the backbone of our expansion strategy, from accessing institutional credit and managing scheme funds to demonstrating fiscal discipline to government partners and investors.

The Accountant will occupy a central role in this journey — owning the organization's financial health, ensuring compliant utilization of NCDC and PMFME funds, and generating the financial intelligence that guides leadership decisions at every stage of growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts using Tally ERP / accounting software
• Handle GST filing, TDS deductions, and compliance with applicable tax regulations
• Perform bank reconciliation and manage petty cash operations
• Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and periodic MIS reports
• Process payroll for FPO staff and maintain attendance records
• Manage utilization certificates, financial records, and reporting for NCDC and PMFME schemes
• Maintain records related to grants, subsidies, and institutional loans (NABARD / SFAC / NCDC / others)
• Coordinate with statutory auditors and support the annual audit process
• Maintain proper filing of vouchers, bills, and financial documents
• Liaison with banks, government departments, and funding agencies as required
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting / Finance
• Fresher or up to 2 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP and MS Excel
• Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and income tax compliance
• Good written and verbal communication in Hindi; English proficiency preferred
PREFERRED / DESIRABLE
• Prior experience with FPO, cooperative, SHG, or agri / food processing sector
• Familiarity with NCDC, PMFME, NABARD, or SFAC financial reporting norms
• CA Inter or equivalent professional qualification (added advantage)
• Local candidate from Kotdwar / Pauri Garhwal district preferred
• Ability to work in a dynamic, mission-driven rural environment
