Role Overview

We are looking for a State Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the programs based at Sri City, Tirupati, AP Location. The ideal candidate should possess PostGraduation preferably in social sciences, economics, or a similar discipline. Knowledge of and interest in the socio- economic and political context of the country. Strong communications and liasoning skills with government departments, Community members and local bodies. Should have sound reporting skills in all platforms of MS Suites.

Job Description- Responsibilities included and not limited to -

Initial Set up
i. Organizing community meeting for establishing creche in the village.
ii. To identify suitable location for housing the crèche.
iii. Safety audit of the location.
iv. To monitor & capture the line listing of the children in the village during the initial phase
v. To do the profiling of the child at the time of entry to the creche. It is to be maintained in the Child Card.
vi. To overview the anthropometric details of the children during initial community meeting in child card.

Anthropometric measurement and Growth Chart:
i. To overview anthropometric measurements, as per protocol. (2days)
ii. To maintain community growth status in each creche.

Tracking and maintenance of records :
• To cross check children and staff monthly attendance register.
• To track the status of daily nutrition given to the children.
• To verify and update the cash book.
• To maintain details of creche committee monthly
• To regularly track issues relating to training and infrastructure
• To capture details on the event of children being referred
• To identify, track and follow up all red flag and referred children To follow-up and track children who have undergone treatment.
• To track the details of immunization.
• To conduct and maintain monthly meetings and its registers To ensuring tracking of undernourished children.

Supportive Supervision
• To provide continuous support and guidance to the crèche worker to bridge the gap between training and job requirements.
• To visit each centre at least 3-4 times in a month.
• To guide and hand holding the CW in transacting the ECD and other crèche related activities
• To have home visit of undernourished children and children who are frequently falling ill.
• Resolve daily operational issues.

Quality check of anthropometry and calibration of instruments :
• To have periodic quality check of anthropometry as per the format given in creche monitoring checklist.
• To ensure quarterly calibration of anthropometric instruments.

Support for logistics :
• To cross check the monthly stock verification of data of Creche Caregiver.
• To cross check the quality of daily supply and storage of ration, medicines, early childhood education materials, registers, and records.

Maintenance of Records :
• To maintain diary and record information of all the children in the crèche with some additional information about the children who are undernourished, severely undernourished, sick, and referred. To cross check the MIS formats, monthly reports.

Monthly Review Meetings :
To do monthly review meetings with crèche workers and partners.

Community engagement initiative and Coordination with key stakeholders:-
• To conduct Monthly CMC- Formation of CMC and conduct monthly CMC meeting.
• To conduct health camp (twice in a year).
• Parent meeting – once every month.
• To organise Community awareness program/activities -quarterly Health Camp twice in a year.
• To build good relations with the panchayats/village heads, Mahila Mandals, parents, schools, clubs, and other organizations.
• To attend block level reviews and sector meetings to coordinate with the block/district level functionaries of the WCD & other ministries.
• To coordinate with health and ICDS & Ensure referrals of children to NRC and PHC (need based)

Capacity building :
• Attend the trainings and exposure visits.
• Participate and support in the capacity building of the Creche Caregivers Safety, grievance redressal and compliance
• To ensure that all crèche regulations are complied with, and discipline and decorum is maintained in all crèches.
• To ensure that the safety and security protocols are being followed and take adequate steps to address any shortcomings.
• To be the first contact for grievance redressal.
• To address any existing gaps, if possible, or report the same to the crèche coordinator for action from higher level.

Stakeholder engagement :
• Meeting with various government departments showcasing the model centers as and when required.
• Conducting visits by government officials to understand the implementation of the centers as and when required.
• Coordinating with the WCD officials for various support for sustainability as and when required.

Important key skills required:
• Knowledge of and interest in the socio-economic and political context of the country.
• Excellent Computing skills (should be fluent in MS Office, especially Word and Excel and electronic communication).
• Communication and people’s skills – ability to manage and work in a multi- disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
• Ability to enable the community and passion for the brand that they are working for.
• Sound reporting and documentation skills.
• Should be fluent in English and Telugu languages.
