Manager – Communications

Location	HSR Layout, Bangalore
Timings	9.30 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Saturday, with a 30 minute lunch break
Reports to	Founder Managing Trustee
Purpose	To manage communication team on content writing/design/ social media/PR
Essential Functions	Develop strategies for maintaining public relations Maintain positive and credible Electronic and print media relations. Should be able to develop content for effective communication Maintain positive relations with stakeholders and guests through letters, mails and correspondence. Updating the orgainisation program, sending invitation to the events, reports, broachers and news letter. Providing all associates with necessary details-articles/ information etc. Sending the donors thanking and appreciation letters. Should be able to manage team communications Need to be proficient in managing social media with constant updation Content management for website Manage regular media briefs regarding the activities of an organization. Maintain and manage communications with donors, visitors, guests, media and department heads through regular interaction. In charge of all publicity work in various forms TV/ Radio/ news letter/broachers/ banners/pamphlets etc. Develop and maintain association with other similar organization. Keeping all records of coverage got. Hard and soft copy of news paper cutting/ record of TV programs, radio programs etc. Keeping all the photo of albums and other communication media updated. Coordinating with the photographers/ video person etc. for the coverage for any important event. Preparing articles and press releases for the media. Create awareness and marketing of equipments for the blind for sale purpose. Monthly report to board of Trustees. Coordinate with other departments and meet their requirements.
Job Setting	Flexibility in extending office timing when required: Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Office located on Ground Floor: requires work with external stakeholders or the public: requires prompt service
Qualifications	Any graduate or PG with min 6 years of experience in communications
Skills Needed	Basic Skills Active Learning (regular updates of information) Active Listening Average Reading Comprehension (English) Fluent Speaking (Essential: English. Hindi: Preferred: Kannada) Strong writing skills Social Skills Coordination Service Orientation Tools & Technology Strong computer knowledge
Knowledge	Essential: English Language Preferred Kannada Language
