TITLE: Field Program Associate (Role of Facility Coordinator)

About the Program
PSI India with support from Partner Agency in 6 district of Bihar will work for strengthening maternal and neonatal healthcare infrastructure at public health facilities in the districts of Bihar. The public health facilities will be assessed for its current level of functioning and infrastructure through a needs assessment and accordingly labour rooms will be developed/strengthened. The labour room will be equipped with the required equipment as per the Guidelines for Standardization of Labor Rooms at Delivery Rooms by Maternal Health Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The provision of the equipment and infrastructure shall be done in consultation with the local health department. The project will ensure the skill training and sensitization sessions with the medical and paramedical staff of the public health facility to promote patient-centric environment in the healthcare facility as per the government guidelines.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of position is to providing a safe, clean, aesthetic, and hygienic environment for not only the patients, attendants, and visitors, but also for health care providers. He/she will be responsible for cleaning, disinfection and maintenance of equipment used in patient care, sorting and transportation of items to and from patient care areas to support care areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community engagement and outreach:
• Mobilize commnunity for CHC services and aware the community on institutional delivery
• Liaising and rapport building with ASHA, ANM and AWW
• Mobilize to beneficiaries for VHSND sessions
• Mobilize to beneficiaries for ANC & PNC check-up
• Organise community meetings and special day celebrations as per the project needs
• To aware community on 102 and 108 ambulance services and benefits
• To facilitate beneficiaries to get the services
• Educate community on social security schemes
• To advocate for the community's needs with local authorities such as Sarpanch/Ward member/Gram Pradhan and other community influencer as per project objective and outcomes
Cleaning, Sanitation and Waste Management:
• To ensure cleaning and disinfecting all areas of the LDR complex of CHC, including patient examination rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, corridors etc. on regular basis
• To ensure that beneficiaries are avail clean and hygiene services in LDR complex of CHC (clean bed, bedsheet, washroom, safe drinking water, hand wash facilities etc.)
• To ensure cleaning of medical equipment on regular basis
• Support to LDR complex of CHC staff for properly handling and disposing of all types of waste generated at the LDR complex of CHC, including general waste and bio-medical waste.
• Support to LDR complex of CHC staff for segregating bio-medical waste according to color coded bags and containers for safe disposal.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Deep Cleaning and Preventive Maintenance Checklist etc.
• Daily Room Cleaning and restroom Cleaning Checklist
• Assist to PC/ LDR complex of CHC staff to maintain ANC, PNC, Delivery and patient record with the guidance under the LDR complex of CHC staff
Other responsibility
• Day to day reporting/ update with photographs to supervisor regarding infrastructure and civil work for upgradation of LDR complex of CHC
• Support to program coordinator in facilitating skill building sessions for medical and para medical staff of LDR complex of CHC
• Maintain all assets procured under project with adequate records as per project norms o Any assigned task by supervisor
A. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• He/ She must be qualified 12th pass or graduate and GNM or equivalent and minimum 1-3 years of experience
• He/ She must be know about the local language (speaking, reading and writing)
• He/ She must having working experience for housekeeping and quality assurance in health facilities, experience in maternal ward will be preferred
