Transform Trade is hiring a committed and dynamic Block Coordinator on a contractual basis to lead field-level implementation of activities under the Pahariya Swalamban Program in Sunder Pahari block in Godda and Litipara block in Pakur in Jharkhand. The position requires extensive field intervention, strong coordination, community engagement, field based record keeping, and monitoring skills to ensure effective program delivery and impact.

Remuneration: 20k – 25k per month as per eligibility and experience.

About the Job
The Block Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating project implementation across four Gram Panchayats in two blocks, ensuring smooth communication with the reporting manager and effective support to field teams. The coordinator will monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure timely reporting while maintaining accurate records. They will also lead training and capacity-building initiatives for farmers, SHG members, and CRPs on kitchen gardening, organic practices, and sustainable agriculture. The position demands willingness to travel frequently in hilly and tribal areas and a strong commitment to community-centred development.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Graduate in Social Work / Agriculture / Rural Development or any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with NGOs, civil society organizations, or the development sector. Experience working in tribal areas and with Mahila Sabha, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), or Cluster Level Federations will be preferred.
• Basic knowledge of agriculture practices, particularly kitchen gardens, nutrition gardens, or smallholder farming, and ability to provide field-level guidance to community members.
• Female candidates only.
• Candidate must have own vehicle and a valid driving licence for field travel.
Skills Required:
• Strong communication, coordination skills both at village, GP and block level.
• Technical skill in working with MS Excel, Google sheet, Google drive etc.
• Ability to work effectively in hilly terrain and tribal environments.
• Commitment to the organization’s mission, values, and community-centred approach.
• Willingness to travel 3-4 days in a week as per requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Activity Implementation and Reporting:
• Coordinate and facilitate implementation of project activities of 4 GPs under 2 blocks.
• Ensure regular communication with the Reporting Manager.
• Track progress of activities and achievements, address challenges, monitor and support implementation team at ground.
MIS Data Management and Documentation:
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection, MIS entry, and maintenance by field staff.
• Verify and ensure accuracy of field-level data before submission.
• Maintain documentation related to meetings, field visits, and project progress.
Training & Capacity Building:
• Organize farmer training sessions on kitchen garden management, crop planning, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture.
• Conduct demonstration plots in selected villages.
• Train community resource persons (CRPs) / SHG members on vegetable cultivation techniques.
• Provide handholding support on Organic manure preparation (compost, vermicompost) Pest and disease management using eco-friendly methods
Important Deliverables:
• Timely submission of daily/weekly field activity reports.
• Regular monitoring reports on field staff performance and project progress.
• Updated and verified MIS data and documentation.
• Active participation and documentation of Mahila Sabha, CLF, and PLC meetings.
• Progress updates on seed growers, farmers, seed banks, and FPO marketing support.
