Position: Finance Manager, REACH
Based in: Chennai
Start-date: May 2026
REACH is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against Tuberculosis (TB) for over 25 decades, based in Chennai. REACH is currently recruiting for a Financer Manager for upcoming projects. The Finance Manager will be based at the REACH Head office in Chennai and will fulfill a key role in supporting the REACH senior finance team in all financial and administrative aspects of this project. The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker, resourceful problem solver and highly productive worker who delivers high quality work consistently. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Being responsible for all day-to-day financial operations of the project
- Reviewing and monitoring all project-related expenditure
- Being responsible for all accounting responsibilities, and for BRS verification and monitoring of Tally entries
- Ensuring to book expenditure as per approved budget/activity code.
- Identifying and resolving invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial issues.
- Timely payment processing and ensuring accuracy and necessary documentation
- Processing of salaries and reimbursements
- Processing and verifying vendor bills, staff travel bills, salaries etc.
- Maintaining books of accounts and doing necessary entries
- Supporting in the preparation of reports to management/donors as required
- Verification of petty cash
- Providing guidance and support for contracts development and management.
- Providing guidance, monitoring, and support for procurement
- Support in all statutory compliances
- Undertaking financial monitoring visits
- Ensuring adherence to organization policies and procedure.
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:
- Qualified M.com with at least 5-10 years work experience.
- An MBA/Masters degree in management/finance/accounting will be an asset.
- Strong computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office and accounting softwares like Tally.
- Experience in budgeting and auditing large complex projects in the development sector.
- Experience in utilizing finance data to track and give inputs into programme planning and implementation
- Experience in overseeing office administration and human resources
- Exemplary verbal and interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, know when to act independently and when to consult for advice on decision-making.
- Ability to effectively manage relationships and coordinate with a pan-India team based at different locations.
- A willingness to carry out a wide range of activities, including both professional and logistical tasks
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy with all sensitive issues and special situations
- Knowledge and fluency of at least one other Indian language (Hindi preferable)
- Willingness to travel across India.
