Lokmitra has been dedicated to improving the educational experiences of children from marginalized communities since 1998. For our 4-year project, "School Development for Improving Children's Holistic Learning," supported by Tata Trusts, we are seeking academically sound and highly motivated experts.
The project aims to develop government (Parishadiya) schools into institutions where teamwork, continuous learning, and democratic values are prioritized. Together with teachers, children, and parents, we aim to create a vibrant, joyful, and inclusive learning environment. Through this project, you will carry forward Lokmitra's two decades of experience, leading the development of over 150 schools in the Banda district.
Project Location: Blocks Baberu and Bisanda, Banda District, Uttar Pradesh.

- If you understand the complexities of the education system and can forge creative ways to engage with schools and lead efforts in a participatory manner with various stakeholders, you are the right fit.
1. Project Manager (01 Position)
- Honorarium (CTC): Rs.70,000 per month (Travel expenses extra).
- Role: Project planning, establishing and ensuring team accountability, contributing to teachers' departmental meetings and workshops in coordination with education officials/resource persons, donor reporting, etc.
- Eligibility: Post-graduate in Education or Social Sciences with 3 years of experience in managing educational reform programs.
2. Lead - Teacher Development / Trainer (02 Positions)
- Honorarium (CTC): Rs.60,000 per month (Travel expenses extra).
- Role: Academic mentoring of a team of 9 School Development Facilitators in one block. Designing workshops on child-centric pedagogy for teachers, strengthening "Teacher Learning Groups," and documenting excellent teaching practices.
- Eligibility: Deep understanding of pedagogy, language, or mathematics teaching, along with experience in teacher training.
3. Lead - Community Mobilization (01 Position)
- Honorarium (CTC): Rs.60,000 per month (Travel expenses extra).
- Role: Strengthening the link between the school and the community. Empowering School Management Committees (SMCs), making Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) meaningful, and leading the operation of community libraries at the village level.
- Eligibility: Experience in community engagement, social work, or rural development, and excellent communication skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team, and find logical solutions to complex educational challenges.
- Proficiency in digital tools and reporting.
