Programme Officer (Communications)
Asha Society is a leading community health and development organisation working across Delhi’s slum communities, reaching over one million people. Role Overview
Asha is looking for a dynamic and creative communications professional who can strengthen its outreach, fundraising, and storytelling. The role requires someone who can think strategically, write with clarity and purpose, and translate field realities into compelling communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative ideas and campaigns to support fundraising initiatives
- Plan and execute communication and fundraising strategies
- Write, edit, and proofread high quality content for various platforms
- Manage website content and social media channels
- Maintain and update communication and donor databases
- Support all communication related activities as required
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Postgraduate qualification in communications or relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in communications and fundraising
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and audience specific content
- Experience with relevant communication tools and digital platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of people living in slum communities
Desirable:
- Experience working in the development or non profit sector
- Familiarity with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement
Location
Preference will be given to candidates based in Delhi NCR
Working Hours
- 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday
Salary
- Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history
