Consultant-Care, Support and Treatment National Viral Hepatitis Control Program, MoHFW (Number of Post-1)
National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi on behalf of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the above mentioned post purely on a contractual basis.
Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D)/ Master of Public Health (MPH) or Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) or Post Graduate Diploma Public Health Management or any other related field with MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) with 2 years of experience in public health/Medicine or related field
Other Desirable Skills:
o Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
o Working knowledge of Hindi also desirable.
o Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
o Experience in operationalizing health program at field level
o Willingness to travel to states & districts to provide technical assistance & ability to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet the timelines for assignments.
Upper Limit for Age:
• Age up to 45 years as on last date for receiving application.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance for implementation of the ‘National Viral Hepatitis Control Program’ and its goals at centre, and in states, as may be agreed upon from time to time.
• To assist the focal person for managing care support and treatment services at various levels under the initiative.
• Ensure implementation of care, support and treatment for viral hepatitis as per the guidelines at all levels under the initiative.
• Supervise through on site visits and provide technical support for strengthening of treatment sites under the program.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly reports generated at the treatment sites to the viral hepatitis management unit.
• Regular monitoring of the functioning of treatment site under the program willingness to travel to states and districts to provide technical assistance and ability to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet the timeline for assignments.
• Participate in epidemic/outbreak investigation as member of Rapid Response Team (RRT) for viral hepatitis as and when required and provide support for sample collection and transport of specimens.
• Undertake review of literature and stay up-to-date on current trends in health systems strengthening with regard to the initiative for prevention and control of viral hepatitis.
• Reviewing of the latest advancements in treatment and management of viral hepatitis.
• Collect and analyze state and national data on components of the initiative on regular basis.
• Responsible for Program Implementation Plan of States (PIP) state PIP-through coordinating and incorporating inputs for the initiative.
• Budgeting and financial planning for the program
• Building capacities at district and state level under the initiative.
• Develop study/ evaluation protocols/guidelines and undertake and/or guide research studies as needed.
• Undertake other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time by the Reporting Authority.
Remuneration Range: Rs. 60,000/- to 1,20,000/- per month.

Written Test Condition:
If the recruitment process includes a written test, a minimum qualifying mark will be 50%. However, If the number of qualifying candidates is high, a ratio of 1:5 will be adopted for 1 vacancy top 5 candidates will be considered. In case 2 or more candidates qualify with the same marks, all such candidates will be considered.
