About us
Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centres is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500-odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha, Hyderabad and UP.
About the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN)
As the Anchor Partner for GOYN in India, Lighthouse Communities Foundation leads the implementation of this global initiative aimed at catalyzing system shifts for youth opportunity. GOYN works with “Opportunity Youth” — young people aged 15–29 who are out of school, unemployed, or engaged in informal work — to create sustainable training, employment, and income-earning pathways.
In Pune, GOYN focuses on unlocking the economic potential of Opportunity Youth through a “Collective Impact” approach that brings together key stakeholders across the ecosystem. The initiative aims to ensure that every Opportunity Youth in the city has access to dignified, productive, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, with Lighthouse Communities Foundation serving as the anchor organisation driving coordination, partnerships, and on-ground impact.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and business-driven professional who can identify potential entrepreneurs, understand their business models, and support them in scaling and sustaining their enterprises.
The role focuses on driving market access through B2B and B2C sales linkages, corporate partnerships, event-based sales platforms, and third-party exhibitions. The candidate will play a key role in building strong relationships with entrepreneurs, corporates, event organizers, and ecosystem partners to create continuous market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Entrepreneur Identification & Business Assessment
- Identify and onboard entrepreneurs across sectors.
- Analyze business models, revenue streams, costing structures, and growth potential.
- Assess market readiness and develop practical growth strategies.
- Provide structured mentoring to improve business performance and sustainability.
Market Development & Sales Linkages (B2B & B2C)
- Facilitate B2B linkages with retailers, wholesalers, corporates, and institutional buyers.
- Enable B2C sales through exhibitions, pop-up markets, and curated sales platforms.
- Support entrepreneurs in pricing, negotiation, pitching, and closing orders.
- Build repeat buyer networks and long-term customer relationships.
- Track and monitor revenue growth resulting from market interventions.
Corporate, Co-operative Societies, Partnerships & Event Management
- Engage corporates and Co-operative Societies to organize in-house sales exhibitions and employee engagement markets.
- Coordinate with HR/CSR teams for curated entrepreneur showcases.
- Identify and negotiate participation in third-party exhibitions and trade fairs.
- Manage stall bookings, logistics coordination, and entrepreneur preparedness.
- Ensure entrepreneurs are well-equipped with inventory, branding, and sales strategies for events.
Ecosystem & Partnership Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with event organizers, malls, marketplaces, and aggregators.
- Identify partnerships with platforms that can generate recurring market access.
- Leverage relevant government and private sector schemes to strengthen business growth opportunities.
Business Growth & Sustainability Support
- Guide entrepreneurs in branding, packaging, positioning, and product presentation.
- Support improvements in operational efficiency and profitability.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and corrective guidance.
- Work towards building financially sustainable and growth-ready enterprises.
Monitoring, Reporting & Impact Tracking
- Maintain a database of entrepreneurs and partnerships developed.
- Track B2B orders, B2C sales, repeat customers, and revenue growth.
- Document case studies and success stories.
- Prepare monthly progress reports, MIS, and impact updates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, entrepreneurship support, or sales.
- Exposure to event management, corporate engagement, or market linkage programs will be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Understanding of business fundamentals and sales strategies.
- Ability to build and manage corporate and ecosystem partnerships.
- Event planning and coordination skills.
- Strong networking and negotiation ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools.
- Willingness to travel and work in field-based settings.
