Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Graduate in Social Work/ Social Science and/or other relevant fields from a reputed institution
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience in the development sector/ community-based organisation
• Good communication (oral and written) skills in Hindi and English
• Strong digital competency (office software packages, data management, etc)
• Strong grasp over relevant gender and developmental concepts
• Behavioural skills which will be assets - problem solving, cultural sensitivity, adaptable, proactive/self-driven, team player, demonstrating ethics and integrity, time management, multi-tasking
Remuneration: 3 lakhs per annum. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, previous salary history and demonstrated capacities.
Job Description:
The Assistant Project Officer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in Bihar. The role involves coordination with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of project objectives.
• Support the Project Coordinator and the Management team, in planning and implementing CEQUIN’s programs across locations in Bihar.
• Support in developing project plans, schedules, and work plans
• Assist in execution of project activities as per approved plans and timelines
• Coordinate with field teams and stakeholders for smooth implementation
• Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, and field activities
• Maintain regular communication with team members and partners
• Assist the team to conduct, coordinate and oversee training programs, sessions, workshops and other program activities with communities, adolescent boys and adolescent girls.
• Mobilisation and collectivisation of stakeholders including girls, boys, mothers and community members, schools, partners, local representatives, at large for the programs
• Implement and oversee all outreach activities
• Mentor cadres of community volunteers (primarily young men and boys) and peer educators (boys and girls) to support and take forward CEQUIN’s work on gender equity in their communities.
• Conduct community level advocacy campaigns on ground and online in partnership with girls, boys and community members to highlight the importance of gender equality and education
• Systematic and effective program documentation through processes such as MIS/excel etc, to capture impact of the ongoing programs (including programmatic reports as per funder guidelines) and ensure proper filing and record-keeping of project documents.
• Support partnership process and build strong presence and relationships through meetings, coordination and consultation with project partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders
• Research and maintain a database of organisations working with adolescent girls & boys across the state to identify best practises and build networks for cross learning purposes
• Represent CEQUIN at different forums to amplify voices of girls and boys on gender equality and build networks with other stakeholders in this space
• Any other relevant task, assigned by the supervisor
Reporting: You will be supervised by and will report directly to the Project Coordinator
Employment Status: Contractual, full time
Location: As a full-time engagement, this role is based at Patna district, Bihar, with frequent local to the field sites to review and monitor programmes, and out of state travel as and when required.
