About the Project

This role is part of the Legrand CSR initiative, which focuses on providing technical training to Diploma and ITI students in Mumbai–Thane. The aim is to enhance employability, bridge the skill gap, and provide industry-ready training to youth from the local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobilization & Outreach:
I. Identify and en-roll eligible Diploma and ITI students for the CSR-funded technical training program.
II. Conduct community engagement through campaigns, college presentations, canopy activities, and focus group discussions.
III. Network with principals, faculty members, and training & placement officers (TPOs) of colleges and ITI-s.

Awareness & Counselling:

I. Counsel students and their families on the benefits of vocational training and career opportunities in technical trades.
II. Provide orientation sessions to encourage participation.

Data Collection & Reporting:

I. Conduct baseline surveys in targeted areas.
II. Maintain accurate records of mobilization activities, student registrations, and feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement:

I. Build relationships with local communities, colleges, government authorities, and industry partners to strengthen mobilization efforts.

Educational Qualification & Experience :

I. Minimum Graduate in any stream (preferred: Social Work, Sociology, or Education background).
II. 2–3 years of prior experience in community mobilization, fieldwork, or student outreach programs.
III. Exposure to CSR projects, youth training initiatives, or technical education mobilization will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

I. Proficiency in Tamil and English (mandatory).

II. Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.

III. Ability to plan and execute field activities effectively.

IV. Passionate about youth empowerment and skill development.
