The Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) invites online applications from eligible candidates in the prescribed format for the following contractual position. MBDA is the implementing agency for Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) and is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of development programmes in the state.

1.1	Senior Data Scientist	Essential Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics and other related fields. Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/MIS and data analytics roles in supervisory capacity. Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including data pipelines, automation, and API integration Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.) Sound knowledge of statistics and data analysis (EDA, regression, visualisation) 5.Experience in developing Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems aligned with government/donor reporting Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data integration, data lakes, and data warehouses Working experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) Ability to manage and analyse large and complex datasets Familiarity with GIS data and basic understanding of LGD codes and administrative structures	02	Shillong	Commensurate with qualifications and experience
