POSITION: Regional Manager - Programs
Location- New Delhi
1. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA-HIMC) is a leading national-level organization which works across 19 states in India. It is a not-for-profit institution registered under society Registration Act 1860. MAMTA’s journey began in the urban slums of New Delhi in 1990 in the field of mother and child health and nutrition. In the last three decades, MAMTA has evolved into a leading, multi-pronged, national level in situation that is focused on empowering people and communities; building capacities; forging partnerships and alliances; building evidence on implementation as a science to advance policy and Programme investments for health and nutrition of the marginalized.
MAMTA works through the mechanism of direct intervention, community mobilization, health system strengthening, networking and policy advocacy in close partnership with government and public health systems, civil societies, academic institutions, corporate sector and the community at large. MAMTA extends its work in four broad thematic areas:
• Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN)
• Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (YSRHR)
• Communicable Diseases (CDs) such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis ‘B’ & ‘C’
• Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
• Climate Change
• Economic Empowerment & Skilling
The organization has a strong team of 700-800 fulltime staff with multi-disciplinary senior and middle management teams. The MAMTA team, along with network NGO partners, is driving the health and empowerment agenda in India and across borders. In addition to India, last decade has observed spread of our work as a technical support agency to countries of South and South East Asian region as well. MAMTA has its head office in New Delhi and State/regional offices in Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna and Shimla.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Manager – Programs will:
• Lead and support program management and implementation of public health initiatives across multiple states
• Plan, organize, and conduct trainings on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A), with a strong focus on Maternal & Child Health (MCH) and nutrition
• Provide technical guidance in MCH, nursing, and public health program delivery
• Strengthen program quality through monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven decision-making
• Develop and manage donor reports and stakeholder relationships
• Design and implement analytical reporting and monitoring systems
• Lead or contribute to proposal development and program expansion initiatives
• Develop SOPs, training modules, job aids, reports, and publications
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in public health / nursing / social work / social sciences / Allied fields from a reputed institution
• Candidates with a background in nursing and MCH (Maternal & Child Health) will be preferred
Experience:
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in implementation and management of public health programs
• Strong experience in Maternal & Child Health (MCH) & nursing
• Experience in program management, preferably within government or large-scale public health systems
• Prior experience working closely with national health programs and health systems is highly desirable
Skills and Attributes:
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven experience in program planning, implementation, and monitoring
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong team and resource management capabilities
• Good understanding of research methodologies and data analysis in public health
4. Location:
New Delhi (with travel within and outside India as required)
5. Compensation:
The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
