Position: Environmental Communication Executive

Location: New Delhi

CMS VATAVARAN – CMS VATAVARAN is a pioneer in international film festival and forum on environment and wildlife in India was initiated in 2002 to enhance understanding, appreciation and shift in attitudes toward the natural world and it set conservation through films and environment forums. The festival acts as a catalyst in taking up multifaceted environmental issues, sharing available knowledge, highlighting the deep interconnectedness between sectors and issues and encouraging critical thinking. Its unique twin-track approach to organizing competitive and travelling film festivals and environment forums has successfully created a strong network of Indian and international filmmakers, researchers, environmentalists, journalists, students and nature lovers.

Job Profile
The Environmental Communication Executive will be required to conceptualize and implement innovative environment communication and outreach activities to create awareness among schools, colleges, corporates etc. The post requires an experienced, skillful and flexible communicator who will be required to deal with multiple stakeholders i.e. Corporate, Civil Societies Organization, Govt. officials, Students, etc. The job requires travel within the country as per the requirement of the projects.

Qualifications: Post Graduation in Environmental Science, Management, Education or any relevant specialization.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The details of the responsibilities include:
? Researching, writing proposals and organizing information in a professional and credible manner.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role along with experience in various communications media, procedures and concepts.
? Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related communication materials.
? Developing web content and managing social media including preparation of all communication and promotional materials.
? Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations interested in environmental conservation.
? Helping the organization in Media Networking, engagement and coverage management.
? Documentation of activities and record information for publication reports.

Essentials Skills
The Environmental Communication Executive will be an effective team player, and well-articulated speaker, who should be able to perform exceptionally under pressure and produce high-quality outputs within stringent deadlines. In particular, the candidates should have:

1. Minimum 4-5 years of working experience
2. Strong networking skills in an environmental Education
3. Well organized and an excellent coordinator
4. Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others.
5. Independent, innovative and proactive, and at the same time, a team player
6. Proficient in written and oral English language
7. Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods

Compensation: Compensation would be as per the industry preference and commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history of the selected candidate.
