Keshkal, Makdi, Pharasgaon, Bade Rajpur; Narayanpur, Orchha (Abujhmad) Kanker, Charama, Narharpur, Bhanupratappur, Durgukondal, Antagarh, Koyalibeda, Dantewada
Geedam, Katekalyan, Kuakonda, Gariaband, Chhura, Mainpur, Devbhog, Fingeshwar, Sukma Chhindgarh, Konta (each block coordinator will cover two/three blocks)
Reporting to: Community Coordinator
Monthly honorarium/Incentive: Rs. 3200/month

1. Background
TCI Foundation invites applications for the position (115 Nos.) of Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) for malaria project in Chhattisgarh (Bastar, Bijapur, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Kanker Dantewada, Gariabad & Sukma) under the Global Fund Grant GC7. The malaria project is implemented by TCI Foundation in close coordination with the National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Chhattisgarh State Health Department.
Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) play a vital role in extending primary health care services to the community. They act as a bridge between the community and the health system by promoting awareness, mobilizing communities, supporting preventive and curative services, and facilitating linkages with health facilities.
2. Objective
The objective of engaging CHVs is to strengthen community-level health interventions, improve access to essential malaria prevention services, and ensure timely referral of individuals to appropriate health facilities.
3. Scope of Work / Roles and Responsibilities
The CHVs will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Door-to-door case surveillance for active case finding
- Malaria testing by RDT and treatment completion follow-up in community on 3-7-14 days
- House to house visit covering every household in a village for IEC/BCC activities- proper usage of LLIN, Prevention and control of Malaria, Source reduction, Diagnosis and treatment completion.
- LLIN distribution (if applicable)
- Maintain record of all fever cases in M-1 and provide the fortnightly report to the Sub Centre
- Bring to the notice of MPHW and MO-PHC any significant increase in malaria/fever incidence during the current fortnight compared to the previous one.
- Conduct impregnation and distribution of bed nets in targeted villages, fill theVC-4 Bed net delivery and impregnation form) and submit it to MO-PHC.
4. Expected Deliverables
- Regular household visits as per assigned area.
- Monthly reports on malaria activities and referrals.
- Maintain record of all fever cases
- Develop fortnightly report.
- Participation in training, review meetings, and capacity-building sessions.
- Active involvement in campaigns such as malaria prevention drives, disease elimination programs, and awareness events.
5. Reporting
The CHVs will report to the designated Supervisor (Community Coordinator) and will work in close coordination with the Primary Health Centre (PHC) team.
6. Qualification & Skills
- Minimum qualification should be 10th pass and a resident of same village
- Respected and accepted by the local community.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work on honorarium basis with commitment to community health.
7. Duration of Engagement
CHVs will serve on a voluntary basis under the project/programme for the period May 2026 to 31 March 2027.
8. Code of Conduct
- Work in an ethical, impartial, and respectful manner with all community members.
- Maintain confidentiality of health-related information.
- Avoid discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, gender, or socio-economic status.
- Refrain from misuse of position for personal gain.
9. Support & Supervision
- CHVs will receive periodic training, orientation, and supportive supervision from TCI Foundation.
- They will be provided necessary reporting formats, health communication materials, and supplies for carrying out their duties.
10. Remember:
- Merely fulfilling the eligibility and applying for the position does not entitle the candidate to be called for interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview in person.
- The advertised position can be cancelled/varied as per the discretion of the employer.
