Key Qualification
The Senior Program Officer (SPO) should have a PhD or PG in Agriculture/ Engineering/Sciences/Medicine/Pharma or PG in Agriculture/ Engineering/Medicine/Pharma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in handling Science & Technology-based societal projects.

Key functions:
•Manage Strengthening resource efficiency in small farm-based livelihood through biologically integrated farming systems project and project activities by the organisation's goals and objectives.
•Provide technical support to the project team and stakeholders on Science and technology (S&T) issues related to the project.
•Provide technical input for research studies and an implementation plan for the same.
•Must have expertise and knowledge in research and analysis (Soil & Water, etc.)
•Collate and analyse data collected from the farm level and various sources
•Develop written outputs from research initiatives, including reports and research papers, articles, media pieces and explainers.
•Lead the team to study baseline and end-line results of the projects.
•Take up research related to evolving techniques and methods for enhancing resource efficiency with data collection and analysis.
•Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of project activities, and prepare S&T-based project progress reports.
•Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the community, project team, key stakeholders, and project director.
•Update documentation, Directing Quality Assurance, Participate in performance review
Key Skills and Abilities
•Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
•Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
•Capacity to develop local innovation in the agriculture field
•Tools: GIS, MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
•Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies

Nature and term of the job:
This is a full-time, contractual job for an initial period of 8 months. Position is extendable subject to performance/project extension.
Remuneration:
Monthly remuneration for this position is approximately Rs 70,000/-/and negotiable, and depends on experience.
