Role Purpose:
The Sr. Manager – Meal Packaging Programs is a senior operational leadership role responsible for end -to-end oversight and integration of all meal packaging delivery streams —Corporate Paid Events, Community Volunteer Events, and In?house Packaging —to ensur e high -quality delivery, standardized operations, optimal capacity utilization, cost discipline, and full alignment with fundraising and donor
commitments.
The role leads multiple managers and specialized teams across locations, and serves as the primary delivery counterpart to Resource Mobilization leadership, ensuring that growth in meal -anchored fundraising is matched by scalable, compliant, and well -gover ned packaging operations, supported by robust logistics, quality standards, utilization reporting, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic & Program Oversight
1. Provide strategic and operational leadership for all forms of meal packaging programs, including:
- Corporate/paid packaging events
- Community -based volunteer events
- In-house and warehouse -based packaging operations
2. Work closely with the Resource Mobilization team to:
- Translate funds mobilized and volunteer commitments into realistic packaging targets
- Plan and deliver agreed meal packaging numbers across locations
3. Develop location -wise targets and quotas for meal packaging and meal distribution and closely monitor performance against targets.
4. Build surge capacity and organizational readiness —including warehouse infrastructure, staffing, systems, and logistics —to support rapid scale -up in existing and new geographies.
5. Ensure delivery readiness (warehouse, equipment, staff, paid volunteers) to meet aggressive growth targets (50 –60% over 12 –18 months), especially for paid/corporate events.
B. Operations, Logistics & Compliance
- Authorize and approve event -related fund disbursals, purchases, and procurements in line with approved budgets and policies.
- Coordinate with Admin and Operations teams to ensure all warehouses and packaging locations meet defined operational, safety, and compliance standards.
- Ensure organization -wide adherence to food safety, hygiene, and packaging protocols, while also delivering a high -quality volunteer experience.
- Ensure standardization across all packaging locations, with minimal deviations from approved processes and guidelines.
- Escalate operational, delivery, capacity, or quality risks through established governance and decision -making channels; actively participate in risk mitigation planning.
