Job Description

Position: Centre Supervisor
Number of Positions: 6
Location: KARO Accommodation Centres (Sion, Kurla and Chembur, Mumbai)
Working Hours: Rotational Shifts (24 × 7 Centre Operations)

Shift Timings:
• Shift 1 – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Morning Shift)
• Shift 2 – 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Afternoon Shift)
• Shift 3 – 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM (Night Shift)

Salary: ?20,000 – ?25,000 per month (depending on education, experience and residential responsibilities)

Role Type:
Supervisor (Residential requirement may apply as per KARO Home operational needs; not mandatory for all candidates)

Reporting Structure
The Centre Supervisor will work under the guidance and supervision of the Centre Manager and the Head Office team of KARO Trust. The role supports the day-to-day management of the Centre and ensures smooth operations in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

About the Centre
KARO Trust has initiated free accommodation for cancer patients and their family members travelling from across India for treatment in Mumbai. The centre operates 24 hours a day, providing safe, supportive accommodation for patients and their caregivers throughout their treatment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Centre Operations
• Support the day-to-day functioning of the accommodation centre.
• Ensure that the centre operates smoothly in accordance with KARO’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and safety within the centre.
• Assist the Centre Manager in managing overall centre activities.

2. Patient & Family Support
• Interact directly with cancer patients and their family members staying at the centre.
• Provide necessary guidance and assistance to families during their stay.
• Assist in addressing patients' and caregivers' concerns and needs.

3. Coordination
• Coordinate with hospitals and medical social workers (MSWs) regarding patient accommodation.
• Maintain regular communication with Centre staff and KARO team members.
• Support coordination between patients, hospitals and the KARO office when required.

4. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain proper records, registers and documentation at the centre.
• Ensure that patient details and records are properly filed and maintained.
• Prepare and submit daily and monthly reports to the Head Office.
• Maintain files (both hard copies and digital records) for easy access and reference.

5. Support Services for Patients
• Assist in ration distribution to patients and their families where applicable.
• Provide travel support coordination to patients when required.
• Ensure proper utilization and management of centre resources.

6. Activities & Patient Engagement
• Organize and facilitate various activities and sessions for patients and families, such as:
o Counseling sessions
o Art and craft activities
o Yoga sessions
o Dance and cultural activities
o Cooking or recreational activities
• Assist in organizing celebration of festivals and special occasions at the centre to create a supportive environment for patients and families.

Eligibility Criteria
Education - 12th Pass / Graduate / Postgraduate / BSW /MSW

Skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office, emails, WhatsApp and basic documentation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Candidate Preference
• Priority will be given to candidates:
• Residing in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai at their own arrangement
• Available for immediate joining
• Having experience in managing accommodation centres or shelter homes
• Openness to residential responsibilities, if required as per centre needs
• Having experience working with cancer patients and their families
