Job Description: Subject Matter Expert – Animal Husbandry
Organization : Manbhum Ananda Ashram Nityananda Trust (MANT)
Location : Bandwan Block, Purulia (with mandatory stay near the project site)
Salary : Attractive and commensurate with experience
About the Role
MANT is hiring a Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Animal Husbandry to provide technical leadership and field-level support for livestock-based livelihood interventions. The role requires strong domain expertise, hands-on field engagement, and the ability to guide community institutions and field teams in improving productivity, health management, and sustainability of livestock systems. In addition to livestock, the SME will also support agri-allied activities, ensuring integrated livelihood development through the convergence of agriculture, livestock, and allied sectors.
This is not a desk-based role—the position demands continuous field presence, practical problem-solving, and close coordination with farmers, frontline staff, and project teams.
Important Clarification on Role Scope
The incumbent will be primarily assigned to a specific project; however, they will also be required to extend technical support to other livestock and agri-allied initiatives across the organization as needed, ensuring cross-learning and standardization of best practices.
