It provides comprehensive program design and implementation solutions to companies and social organisations to address issues across cause areas; enhancing capacities in the development sector and building interventions that can be scaled. Collective Good Foundation currently houses ‘Samyak’, a health initiative set up by a team of professionals with extensive experience in the public health sector in India.

Samyak started off by setting up a pan India, multi-stakeholder collaborative (Urban Health Initiative (UHI)) 2 years back, to address urban health and nutrition challenges with a focus on urban poor and marginalized populations. UHI brings together urban practitioners, public health experts, donor agencies, government stakeholders and non-profit organisations to strengthen the urban health system in India, improving the quality of life of people and reducing existing health inequities. Priority areas of UHI includes, among other things, emerging health challenges due to climate change; wherein the Urban Health Initiative is working, under an MoU with the Govt of Uttar Pradesh to address data gaps around climate – health linkages, as well as piloting innovative models to address some of these challenges. UHI is also working in Maharashtra. Partners of Samyak include Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, Samhita, J-PAL Climate – Health Data Capacity Accelerator, ARTPARK, India Health Fund and ACT for Health.

About the Role
CGF is seeking a Head – Partnerships & Operations to lead government engagement and oversee implementation of Samyak’s urban health initiatives across five cities in Maharashtra.

This role will focus on building strong partnerships with the Government of Maharashtra and municipal corporations, while ensuring effective program implementation, coordination, and performance management across city teams. The position is based in Mumbai and will require regular engagement with state and municipal health systems and travel within the state of Maharashtra.

Key Responsibilities
Government and Institutional Partnerships
• Lead strategic engagement with the Government of Maharashtra and key state departments.
• Build and manage relationships with municipal corporations across program cities.
• Ensure alignment of Samyak’s initiatives with government priorities and public health programs.
• Represent Samyak in state-level forums and stakeholder platforms.

Program Implementation and Operations
• Oversee implementation of Samyak’s programs across urban locations in Maharashtra.
• Ensure program delivery aligns with agreed plans, timelines, and quality standards.
• Coordinate effectively with city teams, technical teams, and government partners.

Team Leadership and Program Management
• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary program teams across cities.
• Establish mechanisms for regular program review, coordination, and problem solving.
• Ensure effective communication and alignment across program and partner teams.
• Track program progress and operational performance across implementation sites, including reporting to donors and stakeholders
• Work with data and monitoring teams to ensure evidence-based program management.
• Identify implementation challenges and support adaptive program improvements.
Strategic Partnerships and Program Growth
• Build partnerships with academic institutions, development partners, and civil society organizations.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and scale Samyak’s work within urban health systems in Maharashtra.

Qualifications and Experience
• Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Management, or related fields.
• 8-12 years of experience in public health, development programs, or government engagement roles.
• Experience working with state governments, municipal systems, or large public programs.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-location program implementation and teams.
• Fluency in Marathi, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
