Job Title: State Project Officer - Health and Nutrition
Place of Work: Simdega, Jharkhand
Reporting to: State Head, CINI Jharkhand

Project or Program: Health and Nutrition
Period: 12 Months with prospects of extension based on performance and fund availability.
Introduction
Child in Need Institute (CINI) has been implementing/facilitating different programs to demonstrate models in improving quality of lives of children, adolescent and women in need. CINI also provides technical support to different State Governments and at National level for strengthening existing services and build up capacities of personnel working at different layers. CINI’s core model is based on CINI method that promotes a rights-based convergence approach which has so far attracted the attention of policy makers and other different actors of development sector, and which has proven to be an effective design to promote local level solutions for improving care and protection of Children.
Activities to be performed:
A) Project Planning & Implementation:
• Supervise and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines
• Supervision of overall implementation of the project as per the approved design.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress and impact, making adjustments as needed to ensure success.
• Ensure regular and accurate reporting on project status to senior management and other stakeholders.
B) Coordination & Liaison:
• Coordinate with other divisions and facilitate joint initiatives as needed.
• Liaise with government departments, NGOs, and other agencies as per program requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support project success.
C) Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and legal requirements across all project sites, including crèches.
• Supervise and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
D) Capacity Building & Advocacy:
• Supervise the development of training strategies for project staff and partners.
• Support colleagues in advocacy, data management, and evidence building.
E) Reporting & Documentation:
• Supervise timely compilation, analysis, and submission of quantitative, qualitative, narrative, and financial reports to donors, stakeholders, and reporting authorities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation in line with donor and organizational requirements.
F) Other Responsibilities:
• Carry out any additional activities required to meet the needs of the organization.
Qualification:
Postgraduate in Nutrition/Public Health & Nutrition/ Postgraduate in Social Sciences/ Rural Development and Management/ Public Health
Experience:
5-8 years of experience working in related fields (Preferable Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition)
Competencies:
i. The candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Power point.
ii. Experience in budget management, working with Government Departments and working knowledge of the public health sector will be an added advantage.
iii. Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
Expected travel: Candidate is expected to travel within project areas for monitoring and supervision and State unit office
Remuneration / CTC: - Rs. 70,000/- per Month
