Job Summary
Field Coordinators will be responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and monitoring community-based programs for children and youth in Kolkata. The position requires strong leadership, community engagement skills, program management expertise, and adherence to safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, validate, orient, mobilize and sustain participation of beneficiaries in project activities in the thematic areas assigned to them in line with the agreed budget.
• Supervise and monitor the tasks assigned to the Session Facilitators.
• Record keeping and attendance monitoring of the Session Facilitators
• Maintain proper and timely documentation of project activities.
• Ascertain and address any program-related needs of beneficiaries.
• Ensure proper budget requisition and liquidation and prepare program activity requirements (e.g., refreshment, logistics, venue, etc.), including making the necessary coordination with departments and community stakeholders.
• Participate in and/or hold meetings with beneficiaries, session facilitators and volunteers to plan, prepare for and monitor progress of assigned programs.
• Submit periodic reports as required by organization.
• Assist in planning and implementation of all activities and tasks of the field.
• Effective, accurate, efficient, and timely documentation and record keeping in line with all
• protocols, policies, and guidelines.
• Nurture critical stakeholder engagements that support effective implementation of the sponsorship program.
• Prepare the program implementation plan based on participant target coverage, budget, cash flow, timeline, and M&E plan.
• Report relevant community information and statistics that affect programs’ budgetary requirements, project resources and implementation schedule by incorporating program
modifications and strategies from previous program implementation and results.
• Plan and prepare Calendar of activities.
• Facilitate and coordinate community meetings, sessions, assemblies with beneficiaries, parents,
• and volunteers.
• Comply with and ensure adherence to the organisation’s policies, safety and security protocols and child guarding norms and guidelines by self and other stakeholders both internal and external.
QUALIFICATION:
• Masters in social work, child rights, psychology, sociology or any other related discipline
• with minimum 4-5 years of work experience in programs (field level) for children, youth
• and families.
• Prior experience of conducting training programmes with children and youth.
• Prior experience of managing a team.
• Experience of multitasking, working with volunteers and proven ability to effectively
• engage with different stakeholders externally.
• Experience with digital learning platforms as well as conducting/facilitating in-person
• and/or virtual capacity building workshops and training.
• Willingness to work in different spread of communities, location where programs are
• implemented, travel related to case management.
• Good verbal and written communication as well as facilitation, documentation and
• reporting skills in English as well as local language.
• Have good computer skills specifically MS Office as well as familiarity with
• inter/intranet, Google Drive, etc. as well as other online reporting and database systems
