Job Summary
The Specialist cum Trainer will be responsible for designing, planning and facilitating training programs for beneficiaries of organization that may include children, youth, teachers, community members and field teams. The role will focus on building life skills, leadership, resilience, community engagement, and youth development through participatory, experiential, and activity-based learning approaches. The Specialist cum trainer will also support development of training content, learning materials, and capacity-building initiatives across project locations.

Key Responsibilities :
• Facilitate interactive and activity-based training sessions for children, youth, teachers and community members.
• Use sports, games, group activities, and experiential learning methodologies to promote life skills, leadership, resilience, collaboration, discipline, and teamwork
• Facilitate learning on themes such as self-reflection, community engagement, citizenship, governance, and youth development
• Conduct leadership development and capacity-building programs for youth leaders, volunteers, and community groups
• Ensure training sessions are inclusive, participatory, age-appropriate, and aligned with program objectives
• Identify training and capacity-building needs of participants, field teams, and stakeholders in consultation with program teams
• Develop and update training modules, session plans, facilitation guides, and learning materials
• Adapt training content and methodologies to suit different age groups, learning needs, and community contexts
• Plan and schedule training programs in coordination with program teams to ensure timely implementation across project locations
• Support training and capacity-building initiatives for staff, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and handholding support to field teams during implementation of training activities
• Conduct training programs across project locations as required
• Conduct field visits and follow-up interactions to assess training effectiveness and application of learning
• Facilitate workshops, camps, sports events, and community engagement activities
• Maintain records of training sessions, participant attendance, and feedback
• Prepare training reports and maintain documentation of activities, outcomes, and participant progress
• Research and incorporate innovative, child-centred, active-learning, and participatory training methodologies
• Coordinate with program teams and all stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective implementation of training activities
• Create linkages to educational, other skill development institutes
• Provide technical guidance and support employability and entrepreneurship development among youth

Qualifications & Experience :
• B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage
• 2–5 years of experience in training, facilitation, sports education, youth engagement, community development, or capacity building
• Experience conducting trainings for children, youth, teachers, community groups, or NGO staff will be preferred
• Experience in developing training content and learning materials will be an advantage.
